Hello Ladies,

I've been addicted to PS for the last few months, and I recently decided to break my lurking ways and participate!

A bit about me:
My hunny and I are just shy of our 3 year mark, and engagement has been on the agenda for the last year or so. So far, I haven't found patience too hard to come by since I'm able to focus on our home, my work, and our puppy. However, now that I know a ring is definitely in the works, I find myself fantasizing and squealing with delight (often at the least opportune moment).

There was even a time where I thought "Oh my gosh. THIS IS IT!!" It happened while we were at a waterfront restaurant in San Diego. He was smiling at me his most beautiful smile and stroking my hand with his. I noticed that his opposite hand was reaching into his pocket and he was pulling out a small black object, only to discover that it was his phone! I wasn't disappointed as much as I was embarrassed. My eyes were misty, my face bright red, and my heart was racing uncontrollably. Luckily, he didn't seem to notice, and we enjoyed our meal. After dinner, I told him about the emotional storm I was weathering during dinner, and we both ended up getting a good laugh out of it. That experience made me realize two things. 1.) I am most definitely a Lady in Waiting, and 2.) The wait for his proposal is going to be a 100x harder than I expected.

I appreciate you reading, and look forward to sharing with those in the same boat. :)

Cheers,

Sarai M.

Welcome to the board. In response to your post, I just hate those moments when I think he's going to propose. Anyways, I hope your wait won't be too long. We're here for moral support while you wait ;).

Welcome :wavey:

I know that feeling, when you think he's up to something ... but then it turns out to be completely wrong. I get that rush even thinking about the upcoming proposal. Make sure you're added to the list.

Hi Sarai!

Welcome, we all know how you are feeling, hopefully posting will help!

Welcome, welcome!!!

I completely understand what you're going thru. I thought that once I knew I had a diamond for my engagement ring that that would be the moment where I suddenly was consumed with LIWitis. But it was actually a few weeks after I had picked out my setting that things started to sink in. They told me it would take 4 - 6 weeks to make the ring and so for the few first weeks I was ok. I would think about it occasionally but now that its week 6 I've crossed over into borderline obsession! I hope your wait is a short & sweet!

Welcome Sarai :wavey: love the dinner story, i can see that happening to me too

welcome!

Thank you all very much for the warm welcome. :)

I hope your holidays are filled with Love, Warmth, and Happiness.
