The Jeweler kept my sapphire ring!!!

.......because he is designing a diamond band to go with it!!

I decided last fall that I would like a band that I could wear with my sapphire when I want a little more bling, and something to wear by itself once in a while. DH knew what I was thinking about, and on Christmas I opened a jeweler''s box.......with a pendant in it

Later he told me that he and our jeweler (Stuart Adelman) decided that I needed a "place holder", somthing to open on Christmas morning, and that I should go in and get going on a diamond band. You''d think I would have been in the next day, but what can I say...I was slow.

It will be narrow, .5 diamonds, so it won''t fight with the boldness of my ring. There will be a single kind of bold round prong between each diamond, and the shape of the ring will be bold with a square back like my sapphire ring. I will be able to see the wax on Monday or Tuesday (Stuart is very busy this month). I will definately post pictures!

BTW, I returned the pendant...it was very pretty and delicate, a blue topaz. But it really wasn''t me.

Thanks for the comments. I knew that he was going to keep it....so it wasn''t a surprise. My finger does feel pretty naked though.

I was without a ring for six months before I got it (sprained finger VERY badly..had old ering cut off in emergency room, had to wait for finger to heal to figure out the new size), so I thought it wouldn''t bother me....but it is amazing how attached I''ve become to my ring.

I saw the wax today, and I love it! The ring will be ready next Tuesday. I meant to take a picture of the wax, but forgot...I will see if the jeweler can take one for me.
