The Forum Engagement Ring Folder/Eye Candy

It is 5.84cts and a fancy brown. I am not sure about the rest off the top of my head. I am sure you saw the stone here. I bought it off a PSer and it has been reset.

What were the undertones of the stone before it was set? My chocoberry finn SEEMS to have pink and brown tones. The rose gold solitaire it is in seems to make it look warmer. I'm still wondering about what type of metal(s) I would set her in when I'm ready to get her a forever home.

I'd love to know what you observed with the stone set, unset, in what metals, etc.

Before the stone was set it was much more of an espresso color. In rose gold, from time to time, it will give it a greenish hue that it did not have before. Then at the same time the stone reads much more cinnamon than when it is unset. So the red and green has really been pulled out. In hindsight white gold would have set the stone off more.
 
My 3 stone GOG AVR engagement ring. Engagement was Nov of 2016, just got married this past May.

Center stone is .76 I VS1, sides are I/J roughly 10 pointers. Size 5 3/4 finger. 14k white gold as I like the shine, simple 14k brushed yellow gold wedding band.20180801_162310.jpg 20180801_162323.jpg 20180726_154802.jpg band.

Showing off a new-to-me 5 stone! (Don’t mind the baby in the background trying to learn to use a spoon :))). What do you think, too much stacked with the trinity? I’d wear on another finger, but lately I just detest rings on any fingers besides my ring fingers.

I think they look perfect together! I would probably put the 5 stone on after the trinity, but that's just me. Wear it the way that's comfortable to you.

@mrs-b I appreciate your comment because my tastes have changed and as I get older my jewelry selection is too. Im still young in my collection because so many pieces I have had custom are sold. Because it took me eight years to learn myself. Which leads me to my opal :-)

@MGR the colors is what me drew me to this opal. I have never seen any thing like it. fascinating!

@KaeKae I was concerned about the narrowness of the setting because of the opal. But it works. Something different me. :-)
