Yes I have, I actually sent the pictures of that ring to my (now) Fiancé one day and told him that it was my dream ring.
We talked about rings a couple of times and I said I didn't care to have an Asscher cut or round cut and he could choose.

So that's what he did, he got the setting custom made and chose a round diamond and now I'm one happy camper with my dream ring around my finger!

They are diamonds, I had a hard time catching the sparkle with my camera though.

I am having the same thoughts right now. I think I will be rocking "the gap" as I love the details on my wedding band.
Im not sure if I would just want a plain silver band or maybe a custom one. I had an idea the other day that I can maybe get one designed like the shape of the shanks (I cant really explain this properly... sorry about that). So imagine 4 times the shape of the shank connected (so no diamond in the middle obviously, and it wouldn't be a shank but the shape of the band) in a row, so tapering in an out. So that the tapered thin part meets in the middle of the diamond of my e-ring. But there would still be a gap. If this makes ANY sense. (Sorry, i'm not english first haha). What do you think of that idea? If you understood what I mean that is

This is my dearly departed mom's diamond, surrounded by heavenly sapphires set in an infinity design which has special meaning for my family.
Specs diamond 1.32ct (7.5mm) RB diamond, sapphires 1.20tcw (4.6mm) sapphires
I am so happy to be able to wear mom's diamond, surrounded by sapphires (representative of heaven) representing my folks who recently passed away. I hope to receive it today. More pics to come.

This is my antique ER. It was my fiancé's grandmothers from Europe. Center stone is a 10x7.5 mm sapphire. I'm actually trying to find a lighter sapphire to put in its place. He proposed a little over a month ago!!

Today's set of mixed metal stackers

Top to bottom:
(1) plain wedding band (platinum with a small diamond, plus a hidden 1-pt pink diamond inside), from www.iprimo.jp
(2) reset of one of my old diamond studs, in a 14k rose gold bezel ring (reset by Sally at Heart of Water on Etsy)
(3) new 1/2 eternity band (platinum with 0.54 tcw diamonds D-F VS), from HN Jewelry on Etsy (very happy to support a local Hong Kong traditional jewelry maker!)

These are actually a lot sparklier in real life. Sorry for the terrible photos and awful office lighting

I also have an antique sapphire ring of European origin as my e-ring. The center stone is dark like yours, but that's part if its charm. I couldn't imagine replacing the center stone, I'd get a new ring first. Your ring is beautiful.
