The diamond came in today, now what?

Hi,

With your help I made a decision to purchase from Brian Gavin and the ring arrived today!

I plan to propose next week while on vacation, but my question is about the ring box. The ring came in a black suede box that slides open rather than the traditional hinged box. The issue is the box is sort of large and if I have this in my pocket it will look like I have a rubics cube in my pants. I need this to be a surprise. Should I propose with no box??

Please advise.

I'd look for a smaller box online or at a local jewelry store.

Your timeline is a bit tight for ebay. Go to a NICE HIGH END jeweler and ask to buy one of their ring boxes.

I might be a little late to the party, but wanted to weigh in that I loved the second ring box that Gypsy posted.
My own for my original e-ring was somewhat similar, although it opened at the top, which I just loved.

The pretty ring box was a big deal for me at the time, I will always be grateful to the dealer as he gave me fantastic five star service even though we could only afford an embarrassingly miniscule budget at that time in our lives!
