The 5 Stone Ring Thread!

Beautiful ring ruby shoes!

I'm looking forward to joining the club soon! Just bought a 5 stone from a pricescoper !

Thanks MakingTheGrade! Looking fwd to seeing your pics.

Preloved ,from a sweet pricescoper, 5 stone 1.6 ct, N/O color stones size 4.5, paired with a 3.0 GIA N color solitaire.
I'm going to need a spacer but love the look of the two rings together. There is a slight color difference but I'm so not color sensitive it looks beautiful to me!

She is gorgeous! Your 3ct diamond is just right for the 1.6ctw 5-stone ring. They matches so well! Very pretty!! Sparkly and Brilliant. Glad you like it. :)

Am so happy to finally have a ring to share! 8)

Stats:
late OECs (or so they look to me)
approx. 1.85 ctw.
approx. VS1 clarity, on ave
approx. I color, on ave
14k RG trellis setting from Amcor Designs
size 5 ring

It took me about a year to find the stones (3 loose, 1 from a ring, 1 from a pendant), and another 2 months to choose a setting (Amcor Designs) and to have it set (local benchman). Laurie of Amcor Designs was very patient, pleasant and easy to work with. I love the way the ring turned out!

Love the thread desperately!! The only one jewelry item I have is a five stone ring, and I 'd like to post it here.

Can you share the stats? Are they alternating diamonds and pink sapphires? Very pretty.

Thanks! I love the low setting and sparkle too, I wear it solo to work when I know I"ll be pulling plastic gloves on and off all day, like right now when I"m doing my emergency room rotation, lol.

My five stone antique ring. Estimated 2.4ctw with old mine cuts, in an antique Edwardian setting from the late 1800's. Love it!

Eta looks like posting from my phone downgraded the pic quality, boo. Will have to come back and post a decent pic later!

I am so excited to be joining your ranks on Tuesday when I get my five-stone common prong band! It's an anniversary/promise/pre-engagement ring - five stones, a diamond for every year we've been together, and a beautiful symbol of what is to come since my dream engagement ring is not in the budget yet!

Diamondrnglover, it is the same TCW and ring size as yours, but not bar set. I hope it is half as lovely and looks as nice on my finger as yours does!

Thank you everyone for sharing! BEAUTIFUL bling!!!! :appl:

Hi all. I'm new here but wanted to memorialize this special ring that was in my life only a short time and will be sent back tomorrow.

My dh and I celebrated our five year anniversary last week and the backstory here is that we (I) have said since our wedding that I will get my "real" ring after five years. I have been virtually uninterested in jewelry my whole life and between being uninterested and indecisive, I opted for just a plain white gold band for my wedding ring (I had no engagement ring either). Anyway, five years came around and i still didn't know what I wanted. I was leaning toward eternity bands and after researching here a little my husband and I went to a jeweler who was recommended to us and I was going to pick out what I wanted. After an hour or so of trying on many things that I liked but didn't absolutely 100% love, I decided on this one (yes, I was determined to walk out with something).

It's a 1 ct 20 pointer five stone. H SI.

SO after walking out with this little sweetie, I logged on here and found the five stone thread and then all hell broke loose. Gemgirl's ring and MANY other rings set me off and after thinking about it a few days I decided I had to break the news to my husband and to the jeweler. I am now in the process of having a common prong .33 pointer five stone made for me. I am beyond excited!!

I did love this ring but the three prong setting wasn't working for me (too much darkness between the stones). It really is pretty though and I will miss it (I actually considered buying it myself for my pinkie). I will be hopefully posting here soon with my new one!

Hoping I get the pics right the first time:

I don't have calipers, but just eyeballing it, it looks like approx 5 mm, 3.75-4mm, and 2.75-3mm. Hope that helps! It is a very aesthetically pleasing ratio (to my eye).

AprilBabys two five stones, each 1cttw

I'm so jealous of long fingers...stack on.

I have lost weight AND it is still miserable cold here so my rings turn all the time. I wear the gold band to boost them up to the chubbier part of my finger. :cheeky:
