Alright, so I decided to take a chance and buy a canary diamond engagement ring for my girlfriend. She has mentioned that she likes yellow diamonds but I doubt she expects that I will actually get one for her. I was wondering what you all thought of my choices. Here is the diamond:

It's a fancy light yellow which should look more yellow in the setting which will be partially set in yellow gold. I was not particularly looking for an IF diamond but I just really liked the look of this one and the price seemed reasonable. I love ovals for some reason.
Here is the setting I chose:

To me, this setting just gives the impression that whoever made it took their time. Everything fits and looks clean. I had the choice of full cut or single cut and I was told that full cut was recommended since this is not an antique style ring. In the pictures, I have to say I like single cut more but I've never seen them in person so I just went along with the recommendation. So anyway, I was wondering what you all think. I'm a bit nervous because I know this isn't a conventional engagement ring. But, I'm pretty sure she will love it.
