After months of research and help from everyone on Pricescope I am now officially engaged and my fiance loves the ring! My story in search of the ring begin with the girlfriend pretty much giving me free reign. She said she wanted me to pick it out, and that she trusted my judgement...talk about pressure. The only advice she gave me was that she wanted it to be unique/different but classy. A year ago or so my mom lost hers and when she was getting a new one my dad and mom looked into yellow diamonds. I thought they were beautiful and totally fit the mold of what she was thinking. I debated between yellow, or colorless with sapphires but decided to go with the yellow diamond. The search started around thanksgiving when I bought a diamond from fancydiamonds.net. I felt like I priced everything out and was getting a really good buy. And it was. However, after getting the diamond, a 1.5ct oval IF fancy yellow I realized I could probably drop clarity to increase either size or yellow. While waiting for this diamond I stumbled upon DiamondsbyLauren and fell in love with the rings David had on his sight. I actually called him and ended up talking with him for over a couple hours on like a Sunday night. We talked about what I wanted and how he could help me find the right diamond within my budget to maximize color and size. A week later we were discussing a 1.5 ct. fancy intense I1 that was eyeclean. Being a little shaky about the I1 he assured me that it was nothing you could see but rather a strict grade he gave it because the cutter only got a GIA cert for the color. So, I decided to trust him knowing that he has phenomenal reviews and a great return policy and went forward with making the ring. Long story short I got the ring last Tuesday and proposed on Saturday and I could not be happier. I took the ring to a third party appraiser who was absolutely amazed by the cut and sparkle. It took her a couple minutes to even find the feather with loops. And I still cant find it. My fiance and I couldnt be happier with the the quality of the ring and how perfect the diamond is. I can't thank David enough for finding me a fancy intense diamond with the right "specs" to fit my budget. If anyone is thinking about yellow diamonds you would be crazy not to give him a call.
