Hello everyone. I’m now the proud owner of a step cut Tacori ring. My first Tacori and my first step cut so it’s all very exciting!

Time to show off your Tacori bling so everyone can swoon. I have always loved Tacori and would love to see some real life pictures of yours.

Here is mine. The centre is 0.76ct F-G si1 emerald. The traps are 0.18 ct each, the carre cuts are 0.015 cts each. I am really loving step cuts - it’s refreshing after being obsessed with OECs for so long! It is overcast and drizzly so this is the best I could do.

GORGEOUS!!!
I have to ask: did you source the center stone through Tacori, or separately?
Please share more!!
Your EC is beautiful, and has great presence at 0.76 ct!! The design is so complimentary, and I love the carre diamonds integrated in the shank!!
Congratulations!! More PIX!! :kiss2:

Congratulations!! Your ring is gorgeous!! Will you wear a band with it? I have a Tacori wedding set and an asscher band, all in platinum. Sorry for the double uploads and the crappy photos of my wedding set. The upload function didn't appear to be working on my phone, but apparently it did after the fact, and it won't let me remove the double uploads.

Thank you so much everyone, I’m definitely feeling better about this purchase as it was totally spontaneous and far removed from what I thought I wanted.

I bought this ring pre-loved so I’m unsure if Tacori sourced the centre (although I am thinking maybe they did as it’s such a petite stone? lol).

I was unsure about the carre cuts, but I quite like them now. The proportions are great. The next model up for bigger stones had over 1tdw for the side stones, but I stayed with the smaller one to maintain these proportions. Loving the extra sparkles on this ring!

Omg I looove that Asscher band, it’s amazing! I’ll keep dreaming of the day I have something resembling this beauty. I will be wearing my original wedding band which is yellow gold in a twisted style with pave. Totally mismatched but I like it. I will post some pics of them together soon.

Your set is so beautiful. Did you pick your centre or did it come complete? The crescents really add extra oomf. I’m having crescent envy now lol...

Question- I have always loved pointy prongs. Do you think the Tacori claws could be modified?

I sourced my center from Good Old Gold. It's a 1.05 CT Jubilee, a cut corner square that's no longer in production. The stone has great light return which doesn't show up in the photo. I bought the setting at a local jeweler after I acquired the stone.

I have a couple of rings with claw prongs, but honestly, they do catch on things. I don't have that problem with my Tacoris.

I'm going to a Tacori show tomorrow at Diamonds Direct to see the Chandelier Collection. I'm looking for a halo to reset my AVR into. I'm super excited!! I'm also looking forward to seeing photos of your rings together!!

Ooo! Take lots of pics at the show, try on all of them! Will you be purchasing something? Very interested as I thought I wanted a halo.... I do love this Tacori pictured.

I’ve seen the jubilee cuts on ig, labelled as “novelty cuts” why I’m not sore (Is it Alex Park?) they look like disco balls lol. I think I read they are usually recut that way if they have suffered damage?

I will try to take lots of photos! I'm not purchasing yet, just collecting ideas. Once I reset, that's it, so I want to be sure about my choice.

My Jubilee isn't like the ones Alex Park sells. It's a square cushion. The company that used to cut them, Atlas & Horowitz I think it was called, is out of business. There was a lawsuit involved, not sure of the details.

Here's a link to a website that lists it among various branded cuts, without a photo unfortunately.

Very cool! You have a “genuine” jubilee. Alex Parks also calls his “novelty cuts”. Why would he call them jubilees when they are entirely different? The novelty cut diamonds are cheaper than mrbs.

How was the show?

Here is my set. Emeralds are a pain to keep clean I am learning. Still, happy it’s a problem I have!

I’m thinking of replacing the centre with a round.

@Lovesparklesparle the cut that Alex sells is an antique style called jubilee. @Starfacet ’s diamond is brand named Jubilee. It’d be like if I created a fancy new round and gave it the brand name of Carre.

Here’s the historical background that Grace wrote:

The original Jubilee diamond weighed 245.35cts, the 6th largest diamond in the world at the time, cut to to commemorate the occasion of the diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria's Coronation 1897. While Jubilee cuts do not have a table, it has instead eight facets on the top which meet at the center, forming a subtle peak. The table comes to a point, making it a hybrid of a rose cut and brilliant cut. In total, it has 88 facets, and when you stare down upon it, the faceting is very reminiscent of a chrysanthemum!

I have always thought it was weird that the name Jubilee was chosen for a new cut-corner square design when the original Jubilee was round with a dome-like top.

Gorgeous! This is the other Tacori I love. The graduated baguettes are seriously sophisticated and sparkle beautifully. Plus, the halo is the best of both worlds. What is that centre stone?

Yes it’s strange. Maybe they were trying to cash in on the name? Kind of like “beef flavoured” pet food.

Hi! Yes I am likely going to set my oec in it... but I am hesitant it might look funny given all the other stones are step cuts. I do love the look as it is now but I have blown my bling budget on this ring and my oec forever stone is still unset after well over a year and I’m without an engagement ring so...lol. What do you think?
