So Im still having trouble deciding what I want for my setting. I have purchased a 2.15 ct H VS2 Blue MBF from BGD. Now keeping in mind I have a finger size of around 8 and I love flash and sparkle of diamonds, Im completely stuck.
So this is the two options I am having trouble choosing.

Either the 6 prong tiffany half round platinum band with a u set eternity with between 10 -20 pointers

or Set in a 6 prong dream setting with 3 - 5 pointers in the band and matching eternity with 8 - 10 pointers.

I think my size 8 finger and my personality can carry off the bling but I don't want to take a lot away from the main stone.

Thanks heaps :)

I think the first set is especially stunning, and would allow each piece to shine independently!
The pieces together also provide a lot of texture and depth, while complimenting each other beautifully.

Also, as an added bonus, I think there is less chance for the settings to rub against each other and cause a prong to bend and/or a stone to fall out, as they might in the second set.

I do support the idea of a diamond shank in your e ring setting, but I just don't like those settings that just seem "plunked" on, they seem more flimsy and less cohesive. So of the two I like the solitaire.

I like the first look. Very classic and lets your main stone shine.

Me three! I love that 6 prong half round. If I bought my diamond from BGD that's what I would have chosen.

Another vote for the classic solitaire -- no competition for that pretty stone with that one!

#1 with the uprong eternity! My eternity is 23 .10s and I love it!

Thank you all so much for you input. After changing my mind a few times I am 100% set and happy with the tiffany style and u prong eternity, which I think is so gorgeous I am getting 16 pointers though, but I figure if I don't like it with my centre stone I will get a smaller much down the track. Im just waiting on a quote for the eternity, hoping it wont be an enormous price tag. ;(

Well thanks again all much appreciated :)

I know I'm late to chime in, but I think the head on the second set you posted is safer for a large stone like yours because of the lateral supports.
