Hi guys,

I’m back, still haven’t found the perfect diamond (matching my budget). My situation is that I live in the European Union (Sweden) and need to pay VAT, customs and other fees. In total, it’s an additional 25-27%. That said, it’s easier for me to buy a stone from a place like Blue Nile, as they are located on Ireland and all fees are included in the price, but that obviously limits my choices.

I have a budget of $9000 in total ($7000 if I buy in the US). Initial budget was $7000 in total, so I can’t stretch it any more. J

I’m looking for,
1,1ct or bigger
I color or higher
SI1 or better (eye clean)

Found this one, but wasn’t sure if it was a good buy, the only have one pic, and now it’s gone.

This one is just a little bit over budget, but It’s a *remarkably* clean 1.20 G SI1. It also falls within GIA and the more strict AGS ideal cut parameters.

Blue Nile, within budget, 1.03 G VS1, within AGS ideal parameters, and any inclusions are white/light (that I could find). It has a lovely, full crown with a small table for good fire. It might be worth giving up a tiny .07 higher color and clarity.

Well, being from the EU myself and having personal experience I’m a sucker for Whiteflash! Their customer service and upgrade policies are excellent, although I guess the latter may not be of interest to everyone, especially if you have to send stones back and forward through customs!

Another very clean SI. It’s on the edge of ideal cut, so due to Gia rounding it may fall just outside. It seems to have good edge-to-edge sparkle.
