Stack mismatched? Can anything help?

Hmmm. Okay I’m not a fan of the channel set band with your current set. I am a huge fan of mixing things up and not being matchy but this kind of pulls down your set in my opinion. Your cvb is stunning. I agree a thin pave band would work but you already know I liked that idea. Too bad the one I have didn’t fit. So many of Caysie’s bands would work too. I say buy something fabulous or wait til you can. Because your er has the power to stand alone and with your simple twist. I do also like Neil’s suggestion of a band with a few tiny stones. Or a plain band until you get your dream band too.

It is gorgeous setting what ever metal used. Your yg Zoe is perfection:love: (I changed from plat to yg last November, just simple 8 prong setting with vintage flair). I mostly used it with plain band. What is funny, I sometimes stacked it with my channel band too. Erica sent me many photos Zoe paired with different bands, but I liked plain band most.

Another resounding vote for David
Klass milgrain!!! Also - I need to reread more carefully, but if that band is 1/2 eternity have him add decorative ingraving on the bottom. People here have had him do it and it looks fantastic.

To all, thank you all for your feedback. I agree with @BlingObsession and @MTHealthyLiving that it might be a lost cause. The channel set (although has many pluses for ease of wear) does clash with the dainty feel of CVB stuff. It is difficult to make something work when the quality/style just doesn't quite compliment each other.

Alas, its much easier to spend $100ish to try and make it work, whereas it'll take me 1-2 years to save up the funds for a 2-3k band of my dreams. I really liked the millgrain idea posted by others, and am hopeful that would help since little else does. So I will take my ring either Klass or a decent nearby bench and see if the costs would be worth the risk. Will keep you all posted! In the meantime, the simple twist band/ simple bands are my backup plan, so I will keep my ultimate goal in mind before spending toooo much. It does look splendid on its own, so definitely has right hand potential AND travel potential since I would not miss it if it got stolen on travel  as such recommended by @Niel. So I don't regret buying it and keeping it for these reasons.

I think a spending on a thin pave band might be worth it cause it has multiuse potential! So if something comes up on loupe troop or db i will be allllll over that!

@ceg its a 1.11 ct J VS2 OEC 6.51-6.57x4.09mm, 50% table, 62.4% depth (GIA:
2185610312). Ring size 5.5, and I have short fingers so this spread is perfect for me! About the diamond specifically, I admit, it's a bit on the shallow side but man that facet pattern even when the center is dark still mesmerizes me, its multifaceted personality in all kinds of light is what i love about it! This is especially true in my bathroom, when I see it at a distance man in the mirror, that sparkle makes me swooon. I absolutely love it with all its quirks.

@Confection10 your ring, your cads, your journey ultimately led me to this style, so thanks for sharing your story (my lurk was strong, hehe)!! At the same time, I really liked the elements of the Chloe that's why I went with making the shank/shoulders of Chloe but man your Zoe truly set me on this journey. Truly beautiful! So thank you! Your ring is BEAUTIFUL and you're right the plain bands do work best.

@MTHealthyLiving ps. I wanted to say that I read your journey with your stack and i share your srtuggle w/ making it work along the way. i love your stack though! it was well worth the effort.

@hathalove ahh i tried to acquire that CVB Sophia band when it came up on loupetroop again haha, ALWAYS SO SLOW TO THE GAME. I was so interested in your VC band but I tried on some WG/Plat bands and I couldn't decide if I liked this mixed metal sad :((.

Another vote for milgrain and engraving. The ring will be much more interesting that way no matter if you wear it with your e-ring or as RHR or travel.

I love your stack! I love the twisty band with it too. It is beautiful, interesting and unique. While I understand your desire for a CvB band, your stack doesn’t need a thing in my opinion. I would save your cash for that dream band and leave it exactly as it is. It is a wonderful and perfect stack.

I keep looking at your set and I think maybe the reason for the disconnect you’re seeing is that there’s two shades of yellow gold in play along with one of rose. So not a lot of contrast, but instead subtle but noticeable shade differences that look accidentally mismatched.
I would suggest putting a thin plain/engraved/hammered white metal band next to the bubble band or next to the channel set so the different colours look deliberate and not accidental.
Your ering is ridiculously perfect and that beautifully rich YG so the colours need a bit more variation to make it work harmoniously.

I get why you see it as off.. it's not a matched set. That's what I like so much about it, a little quirky and a little unexpected. And I like the plain twist band in between as a spacer in the first photo. If you can tell I'm not a matchy matchy person.

I agree with JmeeMrie. And, I'm a pretty matchy person....but for my own e-ring, I'm willing to break the matchy rules!
I think for something vintage, you've definitely found a really cool mix. I think the twisted spacer adds another dimension to the whole look. Reminds me a lot of something Nicole Ritchie would put together = polish with vintage vibes!
I love it!
And that e-ring alone is stunning!!

I tried some cheap plain bands and I'm starting to think it's the width of the channel set. It's 2.5mm wide but the back of the ring is thinner and it looks much better spun around. Maybe I just like a band as thin or the plain complements it the best. Darn I like diamond bands so much I guess a thin pave is going to be the way to go.

Edit: I forgot to add that the stack is slowly growing on me minus the twist. Still got some hope for milgrain..
