SS Big Blue ring has arrived

Hi Colored Stone Fans!

Well I have been out of commission for a while but I finally got a stone set and I thought I''d share with you This is a 4.88 ct untreated blue sapphire from Sri Lanka/Ceylon.

I was fortunate enough to work with Michael E (the GemShoppe) to make this project a reality. The designing process was really fun with Michael and I cannot recommend him higher! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Due to the native cutting, the stone is quite deep so it required the prongs to be a bit on the higher side. However the deep cutting seems to minimize tilt windowing so I get alot of sparkle from a greater range of tilt angles!

We designed the ring to be both substantial yet allowing as much light and viewing of the pavillion as possible to showcase the stone in its entirety, and I think it worked like a charm

I only really hear good things about them, so that''s a plus, and what a fine stone too! Just gorgeous color. I''m not a fan of overly dark toned sapphires.
