Do you think maybe you need to have the stone set to decide?? I still think there might be a better one out there. Is there a reason you are limiting yourself to IF?

The 2nd one has a slight bowtie (which is fine), and it's warmer. I called JA and found out their cut grades (proportionally only since GIA doesn't grade fancies on their cut). The 1st is ideal, proportionally, and the 2nd is Very Good. Here are some pics:
I think there are a few worth getting more info.Gypsy|1380237212|3527957 said:Niel|1380236986|3527955 said:I agree this one isn't the one.

She isn't limiting herself, she's open to anything in budget. Problem is we've all looked and there is nothing in budget that performs as well, has no bowtie, and is the same size or larger (in spread, not carats).

I'm a fan of this one just from the video.

hi there! I'm biased because I love ovals, so I voted oval! I like both of the ones you bought, but I think size wise the first one is nicer. Good luck choosing!

Yes, exactly. I'm definitely not limited to IF. My previous ring was SI1. Like you said, it's hard to find one that doesn't have a bold bowtie. I'm feeling sad and annoyed with myself tonight. How could I be so stupid to lose something that meant so much to me? Now, 3 years after upgrading, I'm downgrading to a smaller diamond. I'm at the point of not caring because it won't have sentimental value, and will be a constant reminder of my carelessness.

None of the pave settings were right for me from JA. I have an independent GIA trained appraiser looking at it on Friday. I'm happy with my decision. I will share pics soon!

Heidibrooke|1381757191|3537435 said:Ok, as promised..pics!! I had it appraised by an independent GIA certified appraiser Friday, and got great feedback. The diamond matched the GIA report, and she said it had a lot of brilliance and in her words, the diamond is "awesome." I really like how it turned out. I had it set in a 1.8mm 1/3 shared prong semi mount. It's an eternity (small space for resizing). More pics in next post!
