Somebody's Gotta Buy This Piece!

This is listed as a faint yellow OEC. It doesn’t look yellow to me but I feel like they give lower colored diamonds a higher color grade. So idk how to interpret their grading.

This one isn’t much higher than the scrap value.

That engraved bangle is so up my alley - ugh! Im
Really surprised the second one is that heavy- it has that “hollow” look to me…

Okay someone has to need a big statement necklace. I know this isn't for everyone but someone here besides me has to love it, right? Rodney Rayner, $6100, 18k rose gold, and it weighs 86.1g with turquoise, sapphires, tsavorites, and diamonds. I think this is a case where TRR has it wrong, they say synthetic sapphires but I just don't think that's true. I've seen it before with Suzanne Kalan where TRR said she used synthetic sapphires and the Suzanne Kalan website says her sapphires are not only natural but unheated and untreated. I don't know about Rodney Rayner but I just don't see the point in synthetic sapphire melee for this.

For a person who can pull this off, what an amazing piece.

I'm so glad you and others like it! I just know it's waiting for the right person and I hope they're here so I can see more of it.

Though I do have a feeling I'm going to regret not going for it myself

This sold and was returned because it’s currently back. Seems like a really good deal but must have some issue, what do you all think?

If you're the one who has it on hold, roll the dice! It might be nice. But my concerns would be it looks shallow, and probably is an I1.

Spready with a big flat top and dull center. To my eyes it was very white (at least compared to my I colored oval). No idea about inclusions...I did not take pictures or video as I was in hurry to return it and get refunded. ;)

Ladies with the larger fingers: size 9, vintage 18k floral band

I waffled on buying this one! Keep it as is

Not the best photos! Sorry. It’s listed at a “circular brilliant.” Definitely round but it’s more like an OEC or maybe transitional.

@viggy_luvs_bling Wouldn't you think that for $8000 they'd post more photos?????

This is listed as jubilee cut. Can someone buy it? For research?

It's probably an OMC that got recut

Do you mean recently, or back when the jubilees were first cut? Does it even look like a jubilee? The pics are not the best. Also from what I read, the jubilee is a shallow cut, this is crazy deep.

I believe this one is a newer novelty cut. It has a faceted girdle.

There are a few discussions on PS about this novelty cut.

There’s also a company Crown of Light who still takes old cuts and recuts them into a similar cut today. Seems like this cut is similar but has 90 facets versus 88 facets like the jubilee.

Some of my favorites. Hoping they go to a good home.

Can’t tell if this is an antique pear or just a big culet. https://www.therealreal.com/products/jewelry/rings/engagement-ring/14k-diamond-engagement-ring-oq6w1

This seems like a good price for a fancy borrow-yellow 1 ct. especially if you sell the 6 grams of gold

Another pear with a tiny culet.

And for whoever was looking for a free diamond. This is a .5 carat. If you sell the gold for $200 the diamond should be about $425. VS near colorless. Modern round.

And I like this ring. The ruby looks pretty. I know nothing about rubies

2 - .5 carats OEC’s $1011 in a pretty setting

Love this but would never wear it

And lastly, I think this would make a pretty ring if you just added a shank. That sapphire is actually 1/2 carat.

Some cool finds! I don’t think you could get $400 out of that setting though - that would be $100 a gram. Gold isn’t high yet!

Oops. I meant the diamond for $425. $200 scrap gold.

I watched that first little pear for a long time. It was a lot more expensive a while ago - like $1500 or more, if I remember correctly. I recently saw it pop up again at a lower price point.
