Really lovely, congratulations! It’s very icy and moonlike! I love the rose gold touches.

Thanks, Bluegemz, your beautiful cab rings certainly provided some inspiration!

@leslie1956 great choice with that tasteful setting! Dan does two toned pieces so well!

Here are a few pictures of the new moonstone ring on hand. I'm very pleased with it, looks even better in person!

Thanks @voce, I agree that he does two toned pieces very well :) This makes me want to find a few more nice cabochons for him to set.

I recieved this little baby today. It's a merelani mint garnet (1.15ct heart cut 7x6mm). I am so happy with it. I definitely wanted to get one as saturated as possible with a bluish secondary tone.
The glow and sparkle are amazing.

That is a really beautiful shade of green! How do you plan to set it?

OK I appear to be on a roll with garnets. I have been hankering for a demantoid. I love the slightly lighter coloured lively stones.
I managed to find one, 1.55ct 8x6mm within budget and I am really pleased.

My camera does not pick up the green very well. The dispersion is amazing, like multicolored christmas lights!

I love all of everyone's beautiful additions! Little purchases are almost just as exciting or stunning as my pricier counterparts!

My little family took a road trip to California last week and we all played in the ocean and on the beach for days. It was lovely! I purchased a simple pink tourmaline stretch bracelet as pink tourmaline was native to the area & I also purchased this 7x5mm Gem Silica that is amazing quality. It was only $38 and the bracelet $20 so I walked away with a few little happy colorful trinkets!

At home I added a small sterling silver heart that I oxidized and polished to the pink tourm. stretch bracelet as the stone is supposed to energetically be such a loving and comforting one.

The Gemma is only .76cts but has a nice spread and is deep enough to create a lovely color & translucency.

In my personal opinion this is the ideal color & translucency for gem silica. If only I could find one larger! It is from the Arizona inspiration mine.

When it comes to setting it, I always set my bluish-green gems in rose gold but I truly think this stone needs yellow gold. I really want to set it in 18k yellow but its quite a bit more expensive so we will see!

I'm thinking of a very simple dainty ring where the cab is gypsy set into yellow gold, set sideways, and is brushed matte. That idea fills my heart with joy. Itd be such a dainty little treasure!

Heres an example of the setting I'm envisioning although I'd like mine to have a bit more gold and strength & I want it all brushed matte!

I received the super wide agate bangle. Love it! It has a great ombré effect and feels very grounding because of its weight.

I wanted to add my most recent small purchases to the thread & they're both loose stones!

This 2.48ct 8x12x6mm solid Australian Crystal opal from Lightning Ridge with a floral pattern.

$115 won through auction from Kucina Opals on eBay.

It will definitely be a ring but I'm unsure of how I'll set it! Either something sleek and bezel set NS orientation with miligrain OR something artsy and modern set in claws EW orientation with a little 3.5mm OEC set next to it on the band.

I also just bought the sweetest pair of raw spessartite garnets for only $40!

They are a lovely cubic shape and are approximately 4.5mm & .70cts each!

I'm planning to create the daintiest dangle earrings out of them with rose gold fish hooks & little rose gold claw settings that hold them! I want them close to the ear lobe & to look like little dangling candies!

I got a lovely 13~ carat sterling silver chrysoprase pendant from Alternatives Lapidary:

Chryso Pendant 1-1 2.jpg Chryso Pendant 1-3.jpg
The turnaround time was ridiculous: they started on Monday and finished on Thursday! Since this isn’t calibrated, that’s crazy.

Oooh yes girl!
I have the most perfect 3.5mm OEC to set next to the opal!

The opal hasn't arrived yet but when it does I'll post pictures of it next to the diamond! Thank you for those inspiration images! They're perfect for what I'm going for!

You've got the sister to mine! In 2018, I had fallen in love with a chrysoprase in his shop. After talking about and pricing a few different options (this was prior to me having a job so my budget was smaller), we had Phil hand craft the pendant from findings, and I still love the pendant, to this day! I just don't ever think to take pictures of my pendants I wear, since they're not as visible as rings. I hope you enjoy yours, as I love mine!

Yay! Twinsies! I love the color. Also, mine is already big... yours must be huge!

Here’s my sweet ring I got today. The ruby is either synthetic or heavily treated but it has a nice sparkle to it. It’s 18k gold and has moonstone on the sides. It was super inexpensive and I just couldn’t resist the blue flash moonstone!

Loving those moonstones with the ruby! May I ask for the dimensions of the stones as well as your ring size? I just snagged a pair of 5mm moonstones from CecileRaleyDesign's most recent sale but I have no clue what I'm going to do with them

I don’t have calipers but looking at against other gemstones where I know the size, I’m going to say the moonstones are probably about 3mm. Small but mighty :). The ring is a size 6 but I have really small hands and it’s not as big on me as some other size 6 rings I have so I’m going to guess closer to 5.75.

This is making me go shopping for some calipers and a mandrel. As if I needed help feeding my obsession ;-)
