Size difference?

Hello all. This is my first post. If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Would there be a noticible size difference between a stone that is 5.90X5.46X3.71 and one that is 6.07X5.70X3.82? Both are cushion cuts. Thanks so much.

What about 6.12X5.84X3.66? Much of a difference between the 5.90X5.46?

I don''t remember where I heard this, but someone once said that an increase in 20% looks noticeable. You could calculate the surface area for both and see if the surface area is 20% larger. Also, maybe you could get someone to make a photoshop comparison. I''ve seen people do that before here.

If you place both stones one next to the other..., yes it will be noticeable.

If you go to my thread below, you will see several pictures which compare sizes of diamonds. The first few pictures compare two diamonds that are 7.17mm (the one on the left) and 7.1mm (on the right). Then there are more pictures showing 1 ct, 1.2, 1.5, etc.

I bought two cushions recently...my mother''s is 5.76x5.90 and mine is 5.90x6.10. There is definitely a noticeable difference of size to me.

I agree you can tell the difference between these two stones side by side but I think youir setting has a lot to do with it as well. Personally I would take a tiny decrease in size if it means getting a better cut stone!
