Drooling over here from my computer monitor!

That ruby reminds me of the ruby counterpart to Diana''s ring, the diamonds and size, shape, setting and everything. However, it''s so much harder IMO to find a fine ruby vs a fine sapphire. I love the pictures, keep ''em coming!!!

Your emerald and sapphire are gorgeous. That''s a really clean emerald. Is the emerald also from the 1940''s or just the setting?
hey tourmaline lover!
my goodness, i feel like i know you! lol..thankyou...for your advice and for your kind words! they are much appreciated! the emerald ring is entirely from the 40''s setting stone and all. and yes, it is one of the finest most clear emeralds i have ever seen..it''s funny because when i bought it..it appeared much less clear..i bought it not knowing just how clean the stone really was..but then i cleaned it..and voila! my goodness was i suprised..it''s like liquid green that one..and just the best colour..the green is just green ..no yellow, no blue in there at all..when you see it in person..you just see green! i''m posting a few collages i got done today for you ...for everyone..
enjoy!

hello everyone! thankyou all so much for commenting on the pics! i love my jewels as well..but then what lady doesn''t right???
so, this is a collage i just put together of my emerald ring, 1940''s hand made ring, in 14 kt gold and the top is in 18 kt white gold. diamonds are the typical brilliant cut. emerald is 4 carats..enjoy!

here is the sapphire..just a beautiful ring..sapphire is 7 carats..the brilliants around it are small, kind of channel set, but still in prongs..i loved it when i saw it for it''s uniqueness...

and of course the photos i promised of the ruby. this one is burmese and 8 carats..it is a big ring. the stone is actually much clearer than it will appear in pictures, i still haven''t figured out what light is best for getting that yet..but anyways, enjoy! i liked the large basket setting..very traditional.

here i am with all three of the little ones on..all natural stones...i seem to always demand that in my jewelry! these are some of my favs.

now, i''m sure you have noticed in the pics of me, or my arms!..that i have this bangle on..here it is in a collage for everyone. solid 18 kt gold, hand made reproduction of the original 18th dynasty ancient egyptian bangle belonging to queen ahhotep. it is fully inlaid with lapis lazuli. it depicts the coronation scene of the pharaoh ahmose.
the original is in the very top at the left hand corner. the rest are photos of my bangle. it consists of two semi circular solid gold sides that open and close with a retractable pin. lovely bangle.

these little things are my ancient scarabs. i have a love of all things ancient egyptian and so, i collect antiquities. these are a few of my scarab collection. the scarab in the two top left photos is turquoise. dates from around 3000 BC. the red scarab in the pics in the center in carnelian and is at least as old as the turquoise scarab, most likely older. the dark blue lapis scarab at the bottom is from about 3500 BC and set in 18 kt gold. the other lighter blu one in the photos top and bottom right hand side is of fiance. egyptians created fiance and it is recognized as the forrunner of our modern glass. they made it by mixing crushed quartz with sand and then using a dieing agent. fiance was so widely used in ancient egypt that it remains very widely found and very widely spread.
the carnelian scarab as with the others spins on it''s ring shank as they wanted to be able to expose the reverse of the scarabs to press them into wax for seals...

just a few more of my antiquities, which btw, you may be wondering how i know if they are genuine, well, i take them to a museum and i have the egyptian curator have a good look at them first. that way i know what they are when i get them! he of course keeps asking me where i get these! i never tell him for sure...:)
thses ones are, from left to right..my roman ring, found in england during an excavation. my egyptian ancient bronze ankh. and my ancient eye of horus, the entire necklace is of fiance, and fully authenticated as they all are.:)

ancientjewelsss.jpg

this is my coronet. it is a reproduction piece of the coronet of sithathoriunet of the 12th dynasty egypt. hand made in solid brass..and heavy, and then encrusted with enamel and the cobra had garnets for it''s eye. i added the original for you to see as well..:)

sithcoronetcoll.jpg

What a great collection! Thanks for sharing!!

these is a neat little pieces that are a reproduction i made. they consist of carnelian, lapis and turquoise, set on gold. the original is in the center..on the left is my choker, on the right is my anklet. it has a vintage kiosk as it''s clasp. egyptian revival period.

ballsetttyt.jpg

you know that ancient egyptians loved wearing collars. as a matter of fact, we still see royalty from all over the world wearing versions of these types of collar today! this collar i made, it is lapis lazuli and turquoise. the ends were cut for me by a friend who does gladd work, so, the ends are of stained glass...which of course the egyptians invented! lol. the gold beads are solid. the surround around the glass ends is brass framing and the wire on which this piece was made, is solid brass for strength.

colllllar.jpg

this little ruby is a solid 10 carats..very deep. it was i believe from sri lanka..it isn''t cut very well..but i like it simply because it is simple and looks ancient grecian. so, it kind of suited what i wear...and another ruby is always fine with me!

grecianrubii.jpg

here we have me shebyu collar. and on the right is a photo of an original ancient egyptian shebyu. these were made of solid gold discs and given out as honorary awards. so ancient egyptians would be given these by their pharaoh. my shebyu, on the left i made of solid brass. it is very very heavy and if i had made it of solid gold...well..you can imagine the price it would have been!!!!LOL

shebyuss.jpg

another beautiful necklace, original on the right side, my own i made on the left. this is also ancient egyptan. i love the have pieces that represent my love of ancient times...:)

fifnecks.jpg

this ancient egyptian bastet ring, original on the right..is made of carnelian and hand carved,..mine is solid silver..and i had the cat made then i set it in silver for the ring. fun piece!

catringtog.jpg

these are the anklets of sithathoriunet, 12th dynasty ancient egypt...made of hollow gold and amethyst. my anklet i made is on the right. i took ancient methods and used them here. i first hand carved solid alder into the claw, then i bought pure 24 kt gold leafing and i fully covered it in it. it is strung on amethyst with solid gold ball beads.

sithankletss.jpg

here they are once more, original on the right.

sithanklettogeth.jpg

this is the bracelet of sithathoriunet...the original on the right. spread out for display purposes..my bracelet on the left..made of carnelian turquoise and gold.

sithbraccss.jpg

and the girdle of sithathoriunet, the origianl on the right, my own on the left. the shell beads are solid copper, vintage 1950''s, the rest is turquoise, carnelian, amethyst, lapis...etc.lol...

sithgird.jpg

What a fascinating collection you have! So interesting and pretty!

here is my fav necklace of all time. it is the pectoral of sithathoriunet of the 12th dynasty egypt. the original is on top and my piece is on the bottom. i had this piece commissioned in egypt. it is solid 22 kt gold and is inlayed with lapis lazuli, carnelian and turquoise just as the original. the reverse is fully done in repousse. i''ll post one of it on a mirror so you can see the reverse.
the necklace it hangs on is also solid gold, 18kt, an lapis, turquoise and carnelian drops and amethyst as well for the ball beads.
