thankyou tourmaline lover and carabella....i noticed in all my excitement i totally forgot to mention the carat of the new sapphire...ooops:)..it is a 7.5 carat...and i''ll be sure to get more pics of it when it arrives! i''m hoping very soon...but i''m sure i can get better pics with my little camera for sure...i''m still going to post pics of the egyptian jewels..just have been very very busy this last week with an art show and jewel design...i had a meeting today with a store in burlington and they are going to carry my original jewels that i make! so, i''m very excited about that..but i have to bring a selection to them sunday this week..so, not a lot of time to get everything together..:) jenna

Jenna, its been lovely looking through your collection and experiencing your enthusiasm. Cant wait to see what you give us next!!!!!

Also, have I got it right that you have 2 similar saphire rings now, both around 7 carats? What made you buy the second one? Is the cut or quality different to the other one? In any case, you dont ever need a reason to buy jewellery and your collection is both beautiful and fasinationg.

What do you design or make in the jewellery you have?

hi back to you sharon101!
thankyou! i''ll have many new pics to post next week..right now i''m so frantic trying to get my catalogue of my jewels i make ready to go into stor for sunday! eeek.
anyways, why did i get another sapphire? i just have a strange kind of obsession with sapphires i think...i love them!:) i wanted a different style of ring...and i didn''t want to take the other sapphire out of it''s setting, which i really like, in order to make it into the new ring i wanted..so, i had to buy another one! lol..and that''s the only reason..
as for my own jewels that i make...it''s really one of a kind pieces...hand made of course, and with the ancient connection...i have pics of them up at my myspace..so, if you like, you can go have a peek..it''s at
www.myspace.com/AncientTimesCollection
i''ll add a few pics of some of the pieces for you all here and below...this one is of my solitare rings...lapis, turquoise, amethyst, carnelian....and tons of different stones...
i have tons and tons of pics up there of my jewelry i make..:) enjoy! and please do let me know what you think...:)
ok, off to make a few new pieces for sunday and get the catalogue done! wish me luck ladies!

this one is my shebyu collar, in ancient egypt, these collars were given out as honorary awards..so, the pharaoh would give these to people who were high ranking...this one i made in solid brass discs..

this is a claw anklet..i first hand carved the claw in solid alder then i gilded it in solid 24kt gold, the beads are amethyst and brass.

and this is a cage from my elven treasure collection...the blue inside the cage you see is blue glass, but i use stones as well..this cage was from before i made the full cages myself..but i liked it anyway! now, i hand make every cage and then we take a mold and cast it in 14kt gold...or whatever metal people ask me for..then i finish the cage polish it and hang it from a chain i also make by hand, and fill it to order with whatever stone or stones people like.:)

goodness i had too many pics of the new ruby ring! it was sunny the other day so i took advantage of the great lighting for photos and the ruby just glows! it is the madagascar ruby i had that was loose and i had this setting made for it, it is about the same size as the other ruby, 8 carats, and unheated..the new ring is set with the madagascar heated ruby..you can see such a marked difference in the glow of the two stones, i love them both, but the glow in this new ring just makes me stare at it! lol...enjoy everyone!, the new one is the one on the left in all the pics in the collage...
loves jenna:)

and here is the newly set ruby with it''s counterpart, that beauty of a ruby broach that inspired me to have that setting made for it! now, i have no info on that broach..just a photo i saw somewhere once, i was looking for royal jewels, so it may be of that vein..but i don''t know for sure, either way...i loved how it looks as a ring now! what fun! i''m still awaiting the new sapphire to arrive, hopefully this week!!!!!!!!!
jenna:)

ooops, let''s try that again...that came out way tooooooooooooo biiiiiiiigggggggggg and a big distorted too..here i made a better one of the two together...hope it works!:)

redorubybroach.jpg

man , if the ring would come out looking the correct way, it would be good...ok, one more try..let''s see if the dimensions look right this time...

redooach.jpg

YES! that''s the way it looks! that''s better...i think it gets too much for my computer to handle when i throw multiple pics at it...collages...lol. anyways, that''s better! now it appears the way you see it in real life!
yay!!!

i''m loving the red of the new ruby...well, that''s a misnomer seeing as it''s not new..just newly set!:)
but i love that ruby red..

thankyou! all of you! it is fun to share pics of my little eye candies with you all! here''s one more for you of the emerald, 1940''s hand made ring..i loved it the moment i saw it..i''ve always had a facination with jewels..and i don''t just mean gems, i mean jewels! i love ancient historical jewels and vintage jewels and especially jewels with a story, or jewels that can tell their own stories, like my pectorals...they read as a text...i don''t know where this interest came from, but i know i''ve always had it! and to find ladies out there who share this love of jewels and the gems that decorate them, well, that''s great!
BTW, i got a notice today that a package is in for me..i think it may be the sapphire..i''ll get back as soon as i know, but could be tomorrow..:) if it is, i surely won''t be sleeping tonight! lol
loves jenna:)
