Hi all, I've just got my engagement ring and absolutely love it. However, have noticed that the side stones (pear shaped) are very slightly different in size. I wondered if this is to be expected?
here's a pic, the left stone is slightly narrower than the right.
I can see what you mean -- the right pear appears to be "chubbier", and that would bug me too. Can you call the vendor and have them find a better matched pair?
Definitely not to be expected. I'd for sure call the vendor and have them find a better match. It may also just be the picture, but the colour of the two pears seems to be mismatched, too.
Thanks for the advice. I've spoken with them and they said they will rectify any problems, so that's great. I focused so much on making sure the centre diamond was right, I didn't pay much attention to the side stones!
