Not exactly new, but I haven’t posted any of my CVB pieces before! This is a emerald and oec 3 stone set in 18k yellow. The emerald was sourced from George at muzoemeralds and Caysie sourced the side stones. It’s so difficult to capture the vibrancy of the emerald!

I wanted something with this type of gallery and prong placement. I had it saved and then decided on the other but kept revisiting this so I made the leap.

What did you do with the old setting if you don't mind my asking? I've got a diamond in a setting that I keep wondering if I really made the right decision about the way I set it and I keep thinking about changing it but just haven't decided what to do about it because I just can't think of another way I would use the original setting.

What did you do with the old setting if you don't mind my asking? I've got a diamond in a setting that I keep wondering if I really made the right decision about the way I set it and I keep thinking about changing it but just haven't decided what to do about it because I just can't think of another way I would use the original setting.

I sold it to a super sweet PS member. I sat on the stone for a while until I narrowed it down. I usually wear my transitional so I wasn't in a rush. I am excited to see it in person next week. I have narrowed my collection down to things that I will wear....trying to be less impulsive. I will report back on that.

I have been sitting here for a while contemplating if I want to reset or not. My setting has custom cut french cuts so I feel really bad about the cost of that and then deciding to do something different. I will probably sit on it for a while and see how I feel down the road.

I don't have a thread on that particular setting with the french cuts, the setting in my profile picture isn't the one in question if that is what you are referring to, thank you for the compliement!

Mostly cast in pieces and then hand assembled and finished. I don’t think she does hand forged. But the process she uses is best for the ultra delicate and detailed pieces she creates

I know of one CVB ring that was called hand forged. It didn’t at all have the typical ‘look’ at all of a CVB ring (nor her makers mark -lol!). It’d be curious to know if there were more.

From my conversation with CVB, her jewelry is mostly cast, but can be a little bit of both.

Hand forged is not inherently better than cast and hand assembled and finished. They each have pros and cons and the fabrication should be chosen to best suite the desired aesthetic.

I have plenty of time to decide what design I want since I do not actually need it till early December. Still the leader in the clubhouse is the Dahlia with the engraved shank. I'm also thinking of pairing it with around a 1ct Whiteflash Precision Lab or a JannPaul Lab Decagon.

I'm working the extra jobs to meet my regular job shortfalls(work is slow), and hopefully have some extra to add to my ring budget.

I also need to go through this whole thread to see if something else catches my eye.

I’m not able to find the dimensions, but it’s 1.64ct and the melee is 2.4mm. Maybe it’s around 7.5x5.5 approximately
