I''m curious what different carat weights look like on a size 4 (or so) finger... Handshots with the eternity alone would be particularly welcome!

Ladies, let''s see that bling!

Is it comfortable? Can you wear it to sleep in, e.g.? And since it''s almost my size, can I have it?

Thanks NYC and kohdy!

IG, I''ve never tried to sleep in it, but I imagine that it would be too tight in the morning because my fingers swell a bit overnight. Otherwise it is perfectly comfortable, although if I pay attention to it I can *feel* it but not in a bad way at all. I almost hate to post those pics becuase it looks like some sort of torture device against my other fingers, but I swear it''s not uncomfortable.

As for can you have it... hmmm... maybe you could *borrow* it!

oooh, sign me up!! We share the same finger size!!! For that matter, sign me up for some of your other rings as well LOL!!! I always swoon when I see pics of your eternity deejay and it was my mega inspiration for my five-stone band.

Here''s mine! I got it in a size 4 although my finger is normally a 3.5. Thicker rings feel tighter so I ordered a slightly larger size. It''s a WF eternity band, open gallery setting, ACA 20-pointers all round. Total carat weight is 3.2.

Ooh! I would like a torture device just like that on my hand, too!!!

And Dee*Jay, you should be careful with what you say: I might actually ask you to let me borrow the ring for a indefinite while!

Anyway, I have to say that I am in love with your RINGS! Such a fabulous taste you have!

You girls are so sweet! Honesly, if any of you lived near me I WOULD let you borrow my jewelry. Of course the favor goes both ways!

Are you interested in baby stones? Here's my fishtail pave w-ring, custom made by WF. Stones are slightly less than .02 pointers, all H&A ACA melee. Ring is 2mm wide and size 4.75.

ETA: Gosh, I still ADORE this ring!!!
30.gif
I am SOOO happy about that! (You have NO idea! haha! And believe me, DH is very happy, too!!!)

Thanks, Ladies, for sharing your Ga Ga Ga Gorgeous rings with me! I want them all!!

Anyone wish they''d gone (GASP!) smaller? Anyone pining for bigger? And this may be a dumb question, but does 3 or 4 carats actually feel... heavy? Or do you just get used to it?

If we go with blingy w-band to serve as an e-ring too, we''ll have a little flexibility on ct weight (though I won''t be seeing 4 cts anytime soon!). But I''m also very active and pint sized so don''t want to over-blingify myself.

...er. never thought I''d say that. Is such a thing possible?
20.gif

Anyone out there with a 2 TCW? Then I''d have the full range.

I currently have two eternity bands. One is under 2 carats total weight and the other one is around 3 carats total weight. My ering is a 3 stone rbc setting - 3 carat center and two .50 and I have been pairing it with my 3 ctw. I''m looking for an alternative to wear when I don''t want to wear my ering and neither band has the impact that I want, plus they just don''t look right worn separately. I''m looking at a larger eternity band like Dee Jay''s - somewhere around 5 carats total weight. My finger size is 4.24 and I think a 5 carat band would look perfect. If you have the option to go bigger, I definitley would.

I know this is PS sacrilege, but I might actually like dainty eternity rings better than big ones!

Don''t worry, that opinion does NOT apply to any other type of diamond jewelry!

And of course I still LOVE everyone''s big ol'' eternity bands!

Lynn B, this is such a gorgeous ring! I love it! Is it shared prong? Do you happen to know how many mm''s wide and tall it is? (And can you hear my wheels turning about my wedding band?!)

Do I wish I had gone smaller? Nope! I''ve never once doubted the size of my stones. In my bling-obsessed head, there''s no such thing as over-blingifying! My band is very comfortable too. It felt a little chunky the first couple days, but after that, your fingers adapt and then you no longer feel the ring at all.

I also own a 1 carat total weight eternity band (it''s my original wedding band) and I LOVE it. It''s totally delicate-looking and subtle. It just depends on what look you''re going for: Smaller = dainty and elegant. Larger = showier and elegant.

The only thing I don''t know is the "depth" of the ring... which is what I assume you mean by how "tall" it is? I can tell you that it is quite delicate and dainty, although it also feels "sturdy" and well-made. I think it''s a perfect balance... just right for me. Although believe me, I wouldn''t turn away some honkin'' 3-4 total carat weight (or more!

If you have any other questions, please don''t hesitate to ask.

Here''s a better photo of the ring. This is the picture WF sent when it was finished.

Oh Lynn, your set is absolutely stunning! What a beautiful set you have! I don''t blame you for loving it!

It's all so yummmmmy!

I think the thing to do is to go to a B&M and try on different carat weights. I was about to say I'd wait till we're 100% sure we're getting engaged (instead of, at the moment 95% or so). But why wait?

A girl can drool, after all. I mean, ah, a girl can dream after all.

I''m a dummy, Lynn B, sorry! I was too busy drooling over the picture to read those silly details that answer my questions! Hahaha-oops! It''s truly gorgeous! And thanks for the other pictures! I actually hunted down the original thread after I saw it and drooled some more!

I did mean depth, but if it''s 2 mm wide I think it definitely looks less than 2 mm deep. (I was just trying to figure out if it would fit under my halo.) Thanks for answering me! I LOVE your set!

Another one of my favorite rings here, drool!!!

Awwww, thanks everyone, for the sweet words. xoxoxo

You "regulars" here know it took me a while to get to the place I am now... OY! Three re-sets and an upgrade in 3 years. But thankfully, I am still so happy with my current rings and center stone. (DH is happy, too! haha!)

Although there ARE still those stunning cathedral style solitaires that keep *whispering* to me... and those honkin' diamonds over 3 carats... !!!
