Ok. I know it’s a low budget VCA ring but I wanted to share pics of the shape with you. It is honestly the cutest VCA ring ever. 56B54E25-35E5-465E-BBC5-484994A85D05.jpeg

@LLJsmom you already know how I feel. But I’ll say it here as well anyway cause I like hearing myself talk

I think the less pricey and less statement-ey pieces can make the best glue!! Your leather bracelet totally elevates your Perlee single row bangle. And this new band totally offsets your bow ring. They don’t clash, they don’t draw attention to themselves, they just fill obvious negative spaces so that your eye goes to the pieces you want it to and stays there. Perfectly routed!!

I love these sorts of glue pieces. I’m not very good at choosing them for myself, I tend to want everything to make it’s own statement. But you pick yours so effectively!! You can choose my jewel glue for me any time!!

@glitterbomb Whoa. I’m slowly processing everything you said.

Okay. Still processing the rest of your post. I’ll be back later. Wow.

I don't post here much because my VCA collection is on the small side, but this ring is the type of piece that I love! It's so lovely and wearable, and thank you for showing it off here!

That looks super helpful! Do you happen to have a link to where you purchased it?

Also thank you for the tip about lotion. I have started to slather myself in daily sunscreen and that would be an issue!

I have one of those things too - I found it on Amazon or ebay. I have a David Yurman crossover diamond bracelet that I CANNOT get on by myself. This little device makes it easy but as RWS says, it makes you less likely to reach for a piece of jewelry if it takes longer to put on and take off.

I absolutely adore this piece for its understated elegance. I always had a fantasy of stacking this version in rose with my small perlee pearls of gold rose gold ring for an easygoing beach holiday stack. Sad to hear it’s discontinued and the perlee coloures is now my only option.

I don't live that much of a glamorous life! Especially since COVID! I just like jewelry. I wear most of my pieces casually on an everyday basis just doing normal life stuff :lol-2:

Like… to the grocery store? Curious minds and all that!

Thank you @RosieR. What a great idea. A fun no pressure stack. I’ll try on some smaller perlees next time. FYI. I found one preloved one on Vestiaire collective. It’s a 49 so not sure if that works for you. But I think other than this one, I’ve never seen another preloved piece. And I agree. It’s a bummer they discontinued it.

Thank you @sectretagentlaura. You should post here whenever you feel like it. Yes, it’s super wearable, low key and really no one would know it’s vca. I feel super lucky to come across it.

I really love it!
Me too @diamondyes. :)

Some more. The pink MOP watch is stunning. I didn’t get the hype. But when I actually my put it on my wrist and looked at the motif at angles rather than head on, you can see the pink hue clearly. Absolutely stunning. The perlee colours studs in malachite and carnelian were very pretty but heavy for my wimpy lobes.

And lastly there is a ring that maybe no one but I could love. It’s jarring and I’ll admit a little hideous but I am loving it more and more. I put on that horrifying ring and it felt so easy and comfortable to wear. No joke. I LOVE the sculptural profile. If I tried to buy that my girls might actually stage an intervention. I’ll see how long this little obsession lasts. Is it a momentary or permanent lapse of judgement? I blame it on being a child of the 70s. I would totally wear it to go shopping or just out or at home.

Yes, my SA requested them in for me because they have been on my wishlist for a while. My local store does seem to have quite a lot of stock though, especially on display. I've been wearing the two butterfly ring (size 47 ) on my left index finger or right ring finger, and the pave frivole (size 48 ) on my left index. I also have a two butterfly ring in the pave diamond & pink sapphire in a size 49 that I purchased preloved and I wear that one on my right index. I personally wouldn't wear the two butterfly ring & frivole ring at the same time, that's too much even for me :lol-2:

Just got these for my birthday yesterday! Rose gold to match my 5 motif bracelet, I am so excited. Next on my wish list is the matching necklace, either the 10 motif or 20 in rose gold.…
I think the earrings are a bit tight, so I am going to look into getting them adjusted.

Adding more photos from Vegas

I finally got to see @LLJsmom's Ruban ring, and she let me try it on, and OMG this piece is AMAZING in-person. Y'all have no idea. Photos totally cannot capture. Video can't either. It's *so* well made, and so sparkly, and so dimensional, and so comfortable - so much ❤️ for this piece

Lapis Rose de Noel sighting!! I'm grateful that the earrings weren't there!!

The butterfly - yeah, not my favourite thing. There are definitely better examples of this craft out there - and for way less $. For me this display was literal "hit and miss".

LLJsmom's SA brought this ring in just for fun. A one-off high jewellery piece. I don't recall exactly how many multiples of my house it cost but I'm confident in that plural

Unheated/untreated sapphire, around 6ct if I'm remembering correctly. Silky and glowy and lush  And size-matched cushion diamond. And LLJsmom's Hello Kitty ring - about the same scale  For anyone out there who might be wondering about the quality of gemstones VCA uses... :cool2:

I finally got to see this ring in-person! I've been so curious about it. It's definitely polarizing... Some people love it, I'm sure, and others hate it, and I can't imagine there are too many people who don't feel strongly one way or the other! Me, def not my cuppa, but at the same time I can kinda see the appeal?

This was an SO that someone rejected. WMOP in rose gold. The rose gold suppresses the greens in the stone, and brings out pink and purple and violet iridescence whilst keeping the material cool and icy. Really beautiful. Anyone interested?

Okay. Gotta share some more MOP here. Grey Alhambra this time. So... I was able to compare the Vintage RG GMOP bracelet that @m-2-b found (that @diamondseeker2006 bought and that I then trawled off her) with three different stock RG GMOP/pave bracelets. All three stock bracelets each had one bright and colourful GMOP motif and two that were noticeably less iridescent. Not sure what to make of that to be honest. Outside of confirming why the stock pieces that I'd seen prior to m-2-b's find hadn't excited me, I guess.

Takehome... SO so so important to see GMOP in-person before buying. Or at least buy with a return/exchange-for-change-of-mind option.

More grey MOP. Okay. So this... I legit spent the better part of half an hour feeling overwhelmed and awestruck.

A while ago I posted this about GMOP in Rose de Noel:

Yeah, I was wrong. Like, so completely wrong. VCA is so clever. I think I must have said that a hundred times last Friday evening... The GMOP pieces were displayed horizontally in Tysons. I looked at them whilst holding them horizontally. And I saw them in the case in Vegas, displayed the same way, and I mentally moved right past, but LLJsmom said she was curious about them so our SA pulled them out for us.

I was pretty checked out from them to be honest. They looked just like I remembered. Maybe a touch more iridescent than the Tysons pair, but that could be the GMOP or just the lighting... And then LLJsmom held them up vertically. Y'know, the way they'd actually be worn on the ears, or as a pendant or brooch. And oh my goodness. They transformed. From kinda harsh B&W sheen to absolutely magical. Bright colour play on a rich dark background - an oil slick against black satin.

VCA is so clever. Seriously. I'm resisting the urge to wax philosophical yet again. They had to make this material look amazing from exactly one perspective and oh, wow, did they ever. They knew exactly what they were doing. Transformative. That's the best word I'm coming up with. I feel both vaguely cheated and transformatively enlightened. Wow. :geek:

My pictures don't do these pieces justice. Neither does my video. But I tried. The first video shows how the light return totally changes when reoriented from vertical to horizontal, but I think the second video shows the vertical colour play better. I said in the post that I quoted earlier that cabochon GMOP has nothing on Alhambra, and now I'm going to say exactly the opposite - Alhambra GMOP has nothing on [the nice examples of] these otherworldly cabs.

Sharing these pics with LLJsmom's permission.

Carnelian Rose de Noel. Small size. I couldn't stop smiling wearing these. Heck I'm grinning writing this post  I was sure I wanted them before I saw them in-person, now I'm extra sure that I need these earrings!!

I know that they aren't what most people would choose, and they don't have the drama and mystique of the GMOP, but they're just so cheerful ::) And the red is so *my* colour, and I can't resist that big bold retro resin look
