Show me your turquoise jewelry!

This pin/pendant with fold-down bail just arrived. It's gold (unmarked, but I believe it's 14K or 15K) with little pearls and round turquoise cabochons, probably from the 1890s. There's a little painted portrait in it behind glass, which I hid with a yellow circle for privacy. I bought this piece for the portrait, but I thought you folks would enjoy seeing the setting.

You know who was incredibly hot and also in that western genre? Dale Robertson... oh my goodness. It takes a lot to make me notice, but I pretty much watch The Tales of Wells Fargo 24/7. Can he be your next profile pic?

Stoppppp it...

I grew up during the era of pretty cowboys( my term) on weekly western shows. Dale Robertson was gorgeous…those eyes! He had a soft but distinctive voice that I still remember. Then there was Clint Eastwood on Rawhide, Wyatt Earp( Hugh Obrian) , etc. There were quite a few. However, IMHO , the most handsome of the lot was Clint Walker( (Cheyenne). In the early 1970’s , he had a near fatal ski accident during which he was impaled by one of his own ski poles . He was declared DOA upon arrival at the hospital but someone detected a faint heart beat. Doctors saved him and he was back at work 2 months later. Talk about your real life supermen! He was one for sure! I know this has nothing to do with turquoise but these guys are eye candy too ! And the shows were westerns, so there had to be turquoise jewelry somewhere in there!IMG_4276.jpeg

If they had made a Superman movie back then, he would've surely been the lead!

I like Dale's horse.

And I'd LOVE a necklace like this but then I saw the price...

Turquoise suits you. I adore that ring!

@glitterata it's one of my birthstone!

Does anyone have a trusted vendor for turquoise? I am looking for a >7 (preferably 9-12) station turquoise tin cup style necklace in white gold. I want the beads/cabochons to be on the more petite side. Both the size and the white gold are proving to be more difficult to find.

@RMOO can you post some inspiration pics? I have an Edwardian set in platinum, however I haven't seen any in white gold. Most are set in yellow gold or silver.

I assume it will have to be a modern made necklace because of the white gold. I've looked on etsy, but am very wary of inadvertantly buying fake turquoise.
Something along the lines of this, but perhaps with smaller station beads.
