Statement earrings, you say? I'll play!

1) 4.6ctw F VS1-2/SI1. All ideal cut. 2 x .95 centers - one BN Astor and one GOG Ascendancy. Side stones, 18 x .15ct. Set in platinum by DKJ. I have big lobes - these earrings are considerably larger than they look on my ears.

2) Roughly 4.6ctw again (too late here to be adding up all the individual values, but it's within a point or two either way as I recall). All stones except for the round melee are individually GIA certified. 2.75" in 18kt. All stones are D-F colored VS/SI. Setting by DKJ.

3) 2 x K VS1/2 .97ct centers. One x True Hearts by JA, one by BGD Signature. 18kt settings on the diamonds done by BGD, 11.5mm golden SS pearls added by DKJ.

4) 14.3mm AAA South Sea pearls by Pearl Paradise, set with BGD signature melee (6 x 17 points = 1.02ctw - D/E color, VS). DKJ later changed the original fitting from a shepherd's hook to a stud and added the pears for me - 32 points each, D color, IF. So - 1.66 ctw. Set in platinum.























The platinum clusters and the yellow gold diamond and golden SS pearl pairs I'll wear casually, tho not just at home. But if I'm going to any sort of appt, out to lunch, or even just shopping, I'll wear these on occasion. But the long drops and the white SS pearls and diamonds are reserved for dinners, shows, ballet, galleries etcetc.

All of them are elegant and as good as I can make them, so there's a level of satisfaction in wearing things - not just beautiful - but beautiful quality also. And they were made for me - so they really fit my ears and flatter my face. Consequently when I put them on, I know I'm wearing something that truly looks good on me, specifically, so that imbues a level of confidence.

And they're all super blingy, and that's just plain fun.

Here are my most statement earrings, a gift from my DH 6 years ago for a special occasion:
They are hard to photograph and get the colors right! I only wear them to formal events. I also have to get them adjusted because they squeeze my ears a bit and hurt by the end of an evening.

They are not exactly light by weight but strangely I don’t feel its weight when wearing, probably due to theIr relatively big backings?
FYI I hv small & thin lobes hence can’t usually handle heavy earrings. In comparison, the 2nd pair (lever back) feels the heaviest among above 3.
These additional photos aren’t great but they do look white IRL.

Thank you, @mommylawyer ! They are from Bulgari. I love how the stones on each earring don't exactly match the other earring. My daughters like to argue about which one is "theirs", so funny. I guess I could make them into 2 pendants for each of them one day!

My statement earrings - they were originally my grandmothers and they are showstoppers! The top can be separated from the drop part as you can see in the photos!

I forgot about these as I don't wear them often as they are clips and hurt my ears if I wear them for too long.

They are my mum's wedding earrings, the only occasion when she wore earrings as she does not have her ears pierced.

To me they are very pretty, and hugely sentimental.
