Show me your statement earrings

Not sure if these two would be considered as "statement" or not, however, I tend to wear them for dressier occasions and important work meetings.

My pair of near 1cttw studs are too small to be worn on their own for my liking due to my chunky face and big fat earlobes, so I bought a pair of 1cttw jackets to wear with them. I also have different 6mm studs that I could wear instead of the diamond ones, like pearls, plain white gold studs and CS ones.




I don't like wearing dangling earrings as I wear glasses, and don't particularly like the Sue Pollard (a British comedian) look of big glasses with big dangling earrings.

However, I had wanted a small pair of D-shaped huggies so that I could wear them with interchangeable drops for a very long time, and finally found a pair that I liked when I was in LA in 2016.

I made the pearl drops for them for less formal occasions, and had a pair of paved diamond drops made so that I could wear them for dressier occasions.

I am late on this forum but where did you get those jackets? I also have really big earlobes and one carat that don’t really look like one carat each because of how big my ear lobes are. Was thinking of doing the same thing with jackets.

Earrings - my favorite accessories!
i get attentions with these :

* 4.40ct in-out hoops D/E VVS/VS
*1.70ct each, main stones G/SI, melees are probably 1 or 2 pointers.

Oh my gosh the hoops are amazing! I mean both are amazing but I’m actually looking for hoop as they’re on a future wish list of mine. Would you share where you got them? I find that it’s hard to find smaller hoops with chunky diamonds which is what I’m looking for - I either find really big diameter hoops with the bigger diamonds or a little pave hoops with the smaller diameter.

I’ll also play (again late to the game). Yellow diamond centers w halo from DBL. I asked them to add a gold miligrain bezel an d I loved how they turned out.

The loops were purchased from a Thai Jewellery shop called Rajdamri Gems in Bangkok a couple of years ago. It was love at first sight, I love how blingy they look with so minimal metal, so lightweight that my small lobes feel no pressure after long hour of wear. The 0.20 diamonds are all super icy white.

@Mreader, I know Whiteflash has similar hoops with even bigger diamonds 0.25ct, total 5ct with similar diameter of 22mm (under 1”). Called AGBF Inside Out Hoop if I am not mistaken.

I somehow missed seeing this thread over the summer.

Mine would be these antique Victorian clusters with deliciously chunky and rustic old mine cuts. They’re serious disco balls on the ears. I bought them originally for my wedding, but sadly, I don’t think they’re very visible in any of my wedding photos...at least not the flattering ones!

I reserve them for special occasions and black tie, so sadly, due to COVID I have not had the chance to wear them for quite some time.

Statement earrings in color. I picked these up at the Miami Antique Show. They are around 8 ct tw nicely matched Zircons. I converted the original stud 18K settings to French wire settings.

Love the puffy crowns.

I had a pair similar to this in my earlier post. I had them remade, tho, without the bezel setting and with slightly larger side stones. These are roughly 5.2ctw, E/F VS stones, all super ideal cut. Setting is platinum by DKJ.

They're absolutely gorgeous and a total light show. Truth is - I never wear them. Seriously, there must be SOMEthing I can do to get myself a pair of diamond earrings that I wear and love. I'm thinking hoops....

I don't often wear hoops so when I wear my 2.75 ct inside out hoops they feel like a statement!
And I feel romanticin these antique platinum rose gold cluster drops. My mom wore these to my recent December wedding. I wore her gorgeous pear and baguette earrings and I must get a picture! I thought I might have gotten to keep them but she happily took them back lol. I have plenty.

My statement earrings - they were originally my grandmothers and they are showstoppers! The top can be separated from the drop part as you can see in the photos!

These are show stoppers for sure! I love how they convert!
