As promised a carpet of cherry petals.

It was snowing beautiful cherry petals during part of our ride yesterday. That's the kind of snow I can enjoy without freezing.

How beautiful is that? I never thought about what an artichoke flower would look like. You dont eat them before they bloom?

Beautiful rhododendrums. Love the bright pink.

@missy love your first shot with the pink rhodi, sun streaming through and the logs. Looks very romantic.

I have a Japanese Maple similar to this one - we call it "cousin it" (Circa Adams Family!) as it droops to the ground! Beautiful rhodo's

hard to take these as my son was constantly photo bombing very excited about my new irises  ...

My roses are EXPLODING. When we moved into our house this was a TINY little shrub growing into the fence by the driveway, maybe 2 feet tall with no footprint. We moved it right in front of our window and it has taken over our yard to my delight. She often blooms from May to November/December her in NY. All I do is dump my cold brew grinds every now and then. Not bad for a transplanted rose bush!

That is so funny because I always think “cousin it” every time I see this variety of JM!!

Your yard is AMAZING!! Is that large flowering shrub/tree a viburnum?? I feel like I need one now. :)

I love your irises too. The yellow and white is a beautiful choice!

My roses are babies this year. I’m getting one or two blooms at a time.

Sp pretty.
I wonder what it is this year because we got a few single blooms too. Our yellow roses didn't cooperate as much as our dark pink roses.

Thank you @Queenie60. We do our best not being here so much so though it isn't the biggest and best garden we love it. We have replanted and rebuilt the backyard twice now due to big storms/hurricanes but luckily it all grows back beautifully. And fortunately we havent had too much trouble with the front and side yards with the storms. Minimal damage.

Thank you! I think it's a viburnum I did know the exact name but it has been lost in the deep recesses of my mind. I will try and work it out! Yeah they are gorgeous I have heavy soil so can't do the traditional bearded type fingers crossed they come back next year!
