I was in Tiffany''s today and saw a setting they don''t have on their website. It was a round with tapered bagettes. I''d love to see some handshots or other shots of this type of setting.

And while we''re talking about Tiffany''s. Has anyone else been to the san francisco store. Does it seem overly dark in there to you? I think the diamonds look terrible (or maybe that''s just my survival mechanism kicking in so I don''t fall in love with one:) ).

thanks in advance,
spike

What size RB are you looking for? I have one but it''s really tiny. I''m pretty sure that there are a couple of threads with rounds and baguettes, let me see if I can find it for you.

I don''t have any tapered bag photos, but I have been to that SFO Tiff and yes, I find it difficult to really see the diamonds in that back part of the store. It does seem dark. On the other hand, the lights there did make a pair of stud earrings look beyond rainbow. It was amazing. But I think it was those lights. I peered under the counter and what they had was tubular shaped metal lights with many, many small holes perforating the tube so that the light came out in many pin points. It made the stones look amazing but for me it was a bad viewing environment b/c I could not judge one stone from the other very effectively. They all looked really similar in that light.

I think the lighting in all Tiffany stores isn''t the best personally...

WOW! What wonderful rings everyone has.

I''m 98% sure this is the type of setting I''m going to go for.

It''s so much better to see them on real people than in pics for online shops. It''s hard to get a sense of "real world" look.

Thank you everyone for sharing these!!!

Another one from TheBigT.

It''s 1.75, I/J, VVS2, set in platinum, circa 1940s.

A closer photo. I think I can see a very small open culet!

Not the typical RB with baguettes, but since it meets the general qualifications ... 1.46 RB with .25 ctw baguettes.
