Hello gang,
I''m new here and wanted to join in on the fun.
I recently had my 1.25 CT RB solitaire reset with tapered baguettes.
Just wanted to show the world (pricescope world ...

) and see what you thought!
Hmmm... hope this works...

wow, it looks gorgeous! can we see it from above, straight on? and on your hand of course?
emteeth.gif

Absolutely!
You might have to be patient with me, however, because it only took me half the morning to size down that one picture... haha

I had it custom made in New York, but I live out of state. So, I was really anxious how it would turn out.
It''s hard to be involved in the process when you''re not there.
I got the inspiration from a Bulgari ring ... (I''ll try to post that picture too) ... that was six prongs with baguettes.
My solitaire had six prongs and I wanted to keep that look.
I also thought the six prongs looked unique with the baguettes, and since I was having it made, I wanted it to look different than the more standard four prongs.
The Bulgari ring (Griffe [?] on the website) was really heavy and squared off.
It was classic but contemporary... a little too industrial looking for my taste, so we rounded off the lines a little.
I must say, it was really hard to find a picture of a RB with baguettes set with 6 prongs!

Ok, off to try and post some more pictures!!

Ok, here is a picture of the ring a little more "head on".
I''ll try and get a better one... and hand shots ...
(this is fun!)

... and here is the Bulgari inspiration... I use inspiration loosely, becaue it ended up quite different.

Here is one close-up hand shot.
I''ll try to get others with wedding band and anniversary band.
Size 5 finger for reference... enjoy!

Oooh. that''s real close-up.
Sorry!

Very nice, I love the rings that don't look like everyone elses. That's why I came to this site to work on the one for my FF. I'm having one built in New York that's a cross between a Harry Winston and a Ritani setting as I type this. Hopefully it will turn out as nice as yours. Good Work!!

I know exactly the anticipation and nervousness you felt waitng for yours. I'm going through that right now hoping that it will come out as nice as the CAD design drawings that I approved. Man I need a drink!

Thank you MP.
I must admit, I was a lurker for a month or so before we actually began work on the ring.
There are so many great ideas here!
The toughest part is deciding and sticking with what you chose.
I cannot even tell you how many times I considered something different, perhaps with pave or something more intricate.
But, when it came down to it, this is my taste and I''m sticking to it!

(I just don''t know if others would agree with my taste or not!! HAHA)

Classic! It is very elegant!

Your handshot looking AMAZING!!! Will you be wearing a band with it?

To Motownmama:
Yes - I will be wearing a band with it ... if not 2 bands.
My original wedding band is a 0.5 CT channel set band with 10 round diamonds.
I have a sapphire and diamond alternating channel set band I like to stack in there as well.
(Who doesn''t like some stacking variety and options?!)

I''m working on those pictures... be patient with me!!!

To Ellen:
No special lighting ... just the camera set at some macro setting?
The pictures are all indoors (so far) and I believe the flash went off each time.

I must say, I have always been really impressed at my husband''s choice of stone.
I don''t know the formal terminology, but I''ve gotten lot''s of compliments on it''s sparkle.
From far away, people always thinks it''s larger because it looks bright and catches your eye.
It''s D/VVS2 and the baguettes are around 0.33 CTTW colorless and VVS quality.

OK, working on the pictures ... I promise there will be lot''s to come!

Ok, here goes ... this is another WAY close up with the diamond wedding band.

I''m seem to be having some trouble getting a picture of my whole hand.
For all you know, I have no fingertips!

More to come ...

That is GORGEOUS! I love those baguettes on the side. Really clean and classy looking. Whats the total carat weight of the band? The band looks excellent with that ring

Wow, D/VVS2 - no wonder that stone looks so bright white and clear! It''s a beautiful ring, congrats on such a wonderful design, it looks great on your hand!

It''s gorgeous!!! Love the setting, it''s one of my faves, a classic. Love it with your band!!!

awsome, i love how you went with a less bulky look compared to your inspiration ring! you made very nice choices, it''s just beautiful!! looks so good with that band too! i understand how you wanted to keep the 6 prong look, i think it makes the stone look rounder and a little bigger, and once your used to it, you dont alwasy want to go to 4 prongs, or that was my experience anyway, so i understand. so glad you go what you wanted, it''s an official head turner
36.gif

Wow!! Gorgeous ring!! The prongs give it a neat touch.

Very Beautiful!!!!!!

Thanks so much for all the comments!
You are all so nice! It''s really fun to share!!!

To Hairgirl95:
The wedding band is 10 diamonds 0.5 CTTW.

Here is a picture with both the wedding band and the anniversary band... (hope this one looks clear)

Another picture with the wedding band and anniversary band ... this time a profile shot.

Hope it''s not too many pictures ...

Oh, that''s gorgeous!!!!

Funny story: My fiance and I did the same thing: we had a reproduction of that SAME Bvlgari ring made!!! The only difference is the shape of the center diamond. Yours is a RB, mine is a princess! So, the head is a bit different, too, since I needed the v-tip prongs for the princess.

You also inadvertently just totally sold us on a channel-set wedding ring, with RB''s

But, yeah...your rings are quite beautiful!!!
