Oh, that’s so sweet of you to say! She really is a lovely piece. Dainty (.20 each), yet she has such nice presence. I really enjoy wearing her.

This is beautiful, @foxinsox! The rose cuts really lend themselves to this style - and I hadn't pictured that. I like the elegant, uncluttered setting with the rose cuts - they really synergize (which I think is not a word, but you know what I mean!)

For anyone who loves The Great British Bake-Off as much as I do - here's Mary Berry's moi et toi, made from a pair of earrings that originally belonged to her husband-to-be's mother.

I love this ring! My apologies for the tiny, fuzzy picture; it's 2 clusters which look to be around 2 OECs. When you see it on her hand from above, the two flowers are much more offset, which this more profile-y picture doesn't really pick up at all.

And here's my favorite moi et toi of all time, I think. Copied from another PS post (tho this ring is uncredited, so I have no idea whose it is), the photo is tiny. Had to include it here, tho - it's just so perfect!

These are some of my favourites for toi et moi inspirations. I love the proportions and after getting the rose cuts one, know it’s a setting style I like on my hand. I do really want one with big fat OECs even as much as I do love my shimmering rosies!

I shall try & remember to take a picture of my Great Aunts engagement ring when I see my sister on Sunday. She was engaged with it in 1935. It's 18ct, platinum, 2 OEC's & tiny single cuts in the shoulders. My sister inherited it & I got the beautiful pearl & OEC halo cluster.

It may be grubby as it's stuck on my sisters hand, but I'll do my best for you!

I shall try & remember to take a picture of my Great Aunts engagement ring when I see my sister on Sunday. She was engaged with it in 1935. It's 18ct, platinum, 2 OEC's & tiny single cuts in the shoulders. My sister inherited it & I got the beautiful pearl & OEC halo cluster.

It may be grubby as it's stuck on my sisters hand, but I'll do my best for you!

We sure did! She had no children of her own & was a surrogate Granny, stepping up once my real Granny died when I was 5. I have Granny's original engagement ring for 1937 - they were both in the favourite 5 pieces thread. Great Aunt had a good eye for a perfect piece of jewellery though. I'd love to photograph all her treasures that we have, but they're scattered between my 2 sisters & my mum. My eldest sister inherited Great Aunt's mothers engagement ring, which we think was from around 1901ish. She married in 1905 & Great Aunt was born in 1914.

I might try one day - it would make a good picture. My mum has a black opal suite set in 18ct rose gold & would be right up your street! The necklace had oval shaped opals dangling from a collar, around 20 if I recall, with matching drop earrings & a matching solitaire style ring, which I always hated as a child & thought Great Aunt was weird for wearing it when she had so many beautiful rings. Ha! If only I knew!!

But I digress! I'm on her engagement ring for you on Sunday.

Hi mrs-b, thank you! The stone is omc and averages 5.84mm but it is off-round I guess we would say. Ring size is 8-ish. Finger size is slightly less. It doesn’t slip around on my fingers at all, despite being top-heavy.
