I hope you come back to this thread iota. Before you make any purchase please try a few on and decide what looks best on your wrist. I had my heart set on a Cartier Tank watch for a few years. Once I saw how it looked on my wrist...not so much.

Believe me you won't see me in a suit and tie very often. The pic was taken on the day of my daughter's wedding banquet, and of course I have the best bling among the 300+ guests... .. or maybe my wife does...

Thanks diamondseeker...being in to watches is as bad a disease as being in to jewels & gems. I almost bought a 3rd but thought I would wait to see what came out at Baselworld this year. Then I got on to my upgrade tangent & well, here I am. The diamond idea won! I mean, I have 2 watches. & a cell phone that tells time. How many watches does one need? No, I see absolutely no reason to answer "how many diamonds does one need?"..

DF, the watch & ensemble look quite dapper. Gorgeous watch.

I just realized I mistakenly left out some numbers on my Datejust Style # in case any one was interested...It's # 116233

I sometimes choke up at the cost of some of the ring setting costs & how outrageously high they are. You could buy a Rolex, LOL But then again, you need to put your diamond/gems in something.

A few years after I bought it, they came out with the ladies skeleton. I kinda want it but its got a ton of diamonds on it which makes it not such a great fit for my everyday life.

A good few months ago I received a bit of back pay and I decided to treat myself to a nice watch . I tried on a few Cartier styles and narrowed it down to the two toned midsize tank francaise and the 36mm Ballon Bleu. I decided on the bb and had it ordered in. However when I went to collect it I just kept going back to the two toned tank. After much deliberation I decided to go for the tank. Although I adored the bb (and still do) the two tone kept calling me lol. Well after months of wear, I have to say I am absolutely delighted with my choice with no regrets. She is so comfortable to wear, goes with everything and is so elegant and timeless and here she is;

Here is a photo of my circa 1930s Tiffany and Co. diamond and platinum watch. I don't now if it counts as luxury, but I sure feel luxurious with it on.

I also just got a vintage Cartier from eBay but it needs a new band. Will post when it's all fixed up!
