Show Me Your Channel W-bands with E-Rings!

I''ve found a great little .83 H/SI2 that I''m considering as a trade-in upgrade (currently have a .52 RB).

In order to accommodate a larger stone, I will have to get my custom e-ring halo setting remade. Got me to thinking that I could redesign a new e-ring setting all together!

I have a channel set wedding band so I''d like to see what all you PSer''s wear with your channel bands!

Your current set is gorgeous, I wouldn't change a thing. Here is my 1.76 in a 4mm cathedral with .55 carat channel band. I think you e-ring looks bigger than mine because of the halo. I sold the channel band, since I didn't like the two together, but now I look at pics, and think it didn't look all that bad afterall.

Just curious, Metro...How long have you had your old diamond? Just wondering because it seems like a lot of people on here are upgrading and I wonder how long people generally go with their first diamond before they upgrade

Here is my 3 stone ering. Center stone is 1.2 and the side stones are .5''s. My wband is a channel set eternity about 3/4 ctw.

I must also say I love your current set as well, I really love halos! Good luck with your upgrade though!

I''ve had my ring for 6 years now. I got the halo added a year ago. I thought the halo would cure the shrinking issues I was having, but I continue to finding myself perusing larger stones. Now that I''ve possibly found one....well.....

If I had a regular prong set ring, I''d be all over the new rock. But since I have a custom setting, I have to consider the cost on a redo/new purchase.

Beau13 - your band looked great w/your ering! Did you purchase another band or just wear your ring alone?

I think your ering setting looks alot like my original setting. I wish I had a better pic.

I ask because when I upgraded my center stone, I kept my halo as-is and let the diamond sit "on top" of the halo. So...you can really only see the pave underneath when the ring is on an angle. I personally like this look. (in my demented mind it reminds me of OctoberBride2008''s gorgeous rosebud setting).

I think my "version" of a halo is just personal preference...

MMM. Your halo already sits up quite high, so in this case, I would not suggest doing what I did and mounting the larger stone ''on-top'' of the halo. The profile would be SO high...

I guess we are re-designing after all *wink*

It is 2mm and matches the width of the ering band. It was the look I was going for at the time but I''m not as fond of dainty anymore!

Oh Metro, I love your ring! It may not be big by PS standards, but it really is one of my favorites here. That being said, you are the one that has to wear it. Here is my ring with a .50 ctw eternity ring. My center is .51 with .27 each on the sides.
