I would love to see photos of setting ideas you have saved or come across that you were wowed by and loved.
I specifically would like to see ideas for 3-5ct stones. They can be solitaire, 3 stones or halos. I'm curious to see how everyone's taste varies.

I am not sure about carat weight on any of these because I just saved the pictures into a folder but they are all so amazing.

Hi! It is in process. Due to the custom fc sapphires I am practicing up on my non-virtue
...patience. Lol. This is going to be a custom hand forged/carved setting by Caysie. The inspiration was the one I shared first in this post with some twists. It will be platinum with the bezel of yellow around the diamond. I will definitely share more details and lots of pictures when it is complete. My Rose Cut will be set in this new setting and another rose cut will be set in the Astrid. It's been a journey getting to this setting and I am so excited about it. I have learned a lot about what I love and what style elements make my heart flutter.

I think I stumbled upon this designer via Instagram. Take a look at her earrings, as design elements even in those are applicable to rings. Unfortunately, they will not do any custom work.

But...oh gosh, your Astrid is THE perfect setting for your rose cut oval!!! So perfect. I just can't imagine it looking better in anything else!

This probably will not surprise you since we like similar thngs, but I love Jude Frances! I have a wish list and almost bought something last fall but wasn't 100% sure I liked the stone. But she has a lot of bracelets and rings that I really love. Oh, and also long chain necklaces! I love her yellow gold the most. I'd like a few pieces that I could wear together.

Your ring has so many elements that I love. It is so amazing. I do love my Astrid and I will enjoy it equally with the new stone. I plan to wear it as a right hand ring. The carving on this new ring will match up with the rose cut facets. I definitely need to listen to my own likes better from the beginning so it does not take this many tries to get it

I am happy I will still have the Astrid. Its really a win win. I have all octagonal inspirations saved. I actually was originally going to do something like your ring, second guessed and then didn't go with my first instict. It's been a long process. I didn't post anything here because I did not want to admit that I was not 100 percent sure was the one. Thankfully Caysie is awesome to work with.

ceg, I agree, that stone looks weird. In fact, I didn't even know what it was. Until I went back to the web site to read the description: they describe it as a moonstone. I'm a complete novice when it comes to colored stones, but I've never seen a moonstone look like that...I've always thought moonstones had a 'clear' or 'unobstructed' appearance. More to learn I guess!
