I'm going to post three pics of the setting. It's a Kirk Kara replica and I can get it for roughly $500. It has .90 of VS-SI/G-H round brilliant diamonds with antique style/milgrain intricate detailing throughout the setting. My ring is a 1 carat round brilliant H color SI. I originally wanted a halo but love the antique look. Should I hold out for my halo or go for this one? Would these square prongs look bad with my round diamond?

Another view.

Last one. I wish I could show how detailed it is, but the pics would exceed the mb limit.

Kirk Kara are lovely (and very Tacori like) If you love it go for it. Excellent price.

It looks beautiful to me! If you love it, then go for it. If you think you''d regret not getting the halo, then maybe you should hold out for the halo. I have almost the same spec. diamond as you, and for some reason I never wanted a halo on mine; I''d personally prefer the square prongs. But some folks prefer to keep a round diamond round; even if I went for a halo I would have liked one of the non-round ones, that make a round look more square-ish. (or octagonal, or whatever) I always liked the way so many antique rings make a round diamond look a little more square, with prongs such as on this ring. But it is all a personal taste.

Its lovely AND it looks a great deal like a Tacori setting. :)
I was going to say the same thing. A couple of ladies here do have a Tacori very much like that style.

If you love it? For only $500.- (assuming the diamonds are the quality you mentioned), go for it! That''s a steal of a deal.

I LOVE it!!!!!!!! It looks much more expensive too! I am not a halo person though, so I must confess that I like this look more.
