Shipping concern....

Hi everyone,

Link to my Original thread I am incredibly confused by my parcel tracking. Purchased a bangle on 23 April from N BILLERICA, MA (wherever that is!) USA and so far it's been to New York, Chicago, Jamaica. LA and even CHINA - all few times over... I get it Covid-19 has delayed shipping times but seriously cannot understand this shipping trail. It just makes no sense at all!

Link to tracking Australia Post and GlobalPost International both just say it's waiting in NY to come to Sydney. Thoughts? Why do the trackers vary so much?

That would seriously drive me bonkers! I wonder if the seller is actually in China? Some sellers will have a US address but aren't in US actually.
I recently purchased an item from Australia shipping to US. Tracking kept showing it "awaiting departure at Melbourne airport" for nearly 3 weeks (5/4 til 5/21) then suddenly it was in US (5/21) and delivered the next day. I think limited flights , & limited staff equals wacky tracking.

But yours is next level! What does the seller say?

I really don't have anything helpful to add but geez that it some tracking history. Are you getting email updates? The last few times I have noticed the tracking got wonky I would sign up for the updates and it would start moving.

Yeah I'm getting email updates - all just say "on it's way" & I have registered a concern with Oz Post. I called Oz Post and she said hasn't left New York yet as of 9th May. Seller said I was looking at the wrong tracking number but it's definitely the same one as provided on Etsy transaction.

Both sitting at Miami one was purchased from Wilson Bros on April 28 and one from a PS member May 11. Both say awaiting international departure.

Unfortunately only the sender can request an enquiry. I didn't realise you could lodge with Aust Post on an international order not started in their system.

That is a seriously cray cray tracking history

I've been having a helluva time with USPS and overseas shipping for the past month, month and a half. It's so horribly frustrating.

Also, Etsy has changed their shipping policies to a two shipper method for overseas shipments. Again, horribly frustrating.

I hope the tracking is just not moving online, but it's actually moving. Hopefully. Perhaps USPS just isn't updating it. 10 days in Miami seems odd without movement. I am wondering if you will suddenly see a jump that doesn't make sense. I just checked the one. I have had USPS just sit for a bit recently though, but not 10 days. Email me if you want me to have them start in inquiry though, happy to do it.

Hi There @elizat I actually have another one still sitting in Miami sent two weeks early from wilson bros (a wedding band) it hasn't moved since April 29 I asked them to look into it but I don't think they have. Even a time frame from USPS would be awesome.

Don't worry though I will wait another week and let you know thanks for offering.

Funny thing is I ordered some things from iHerb and they sent it and it arrived in 5 days but didn't uses USPS.

That must be horribly frustrating. I have shipped things international from the US many times and they often leave from the Jamaica facility in New York since I am on the East Coast. Occasionally, I had one cross the US and leave from California--but I have never seen a package bounce around the US like yours. Do you know if the tracking number provided is the number from the customs form?

Hi, it did eventually arrive after 4 months! It's absolutely gorgeous and I'm really happy with the bangle. Honestly I'd pretty much given up by the time it arrived, thought it lost. Arrived suddenly with no notification from Oz post at all....

I loathe and detest USPS and I wouldn’t ever buy anything of value if it was being shipped that way. Fed Ex, DHL or Aramex only for me. The torture of watching what USPS does on tracking is horrific and nerve wracking. And I always end up having to collect from the central post office with them whereas proper courier companies deliver to my door. Awful.

Ivy and Rose shipped me something from DHL it arrived so fast I was staggered.

I had ordered something from Queensland a week earlier and it beat it by a full week
