SETTING IS IN! Would appreciate opinions:-)

Hi Everyone!

This is a follow up to a previous thread about my diamond reset. The ring arrived today and I would love to hear your opinions before I give the jeweler the go ahead to reset my diamond. I had the setting custom made but am not obligated to accept it. It seems to be just what I was looking for but would like to make sure I am not overlooking anything. I plan on pairing it with a 10 point eternity that has yet to be made. The setting is designed to allow the eternity to sit flush to avoid the girdles rubbing on the prongs. Excuse the huge prongs...they will obviously be trimmed down. I am going to have the jeweler set the diamond in a single claw prong. The pictures show a cubic my size just resting in the prongs to give an idea. I looped the setting and it is very well made so I am happy about that

I think it is just BEAUTIFUL!! very delicate w a lovely bling bridge to make it unique and perfect!! Hoping he can do claw prongs??? IMO, they would be the perfect balance to the setting. I can't wait to see your diamond set in it!!

My only suggestion would be to get a very thin spacer band to just be *sure* the eternity girdles are not rubbing on your ering setting.

Do you have more top view photos? I am wondering if I would round the band more but the side view looks fine (and different from the top view).

I feel your diamond is sitting a bit high but that is personal preference. I would like the girdle resting just on top of the line of pave.

It looks so elegant! The diamonds in the basket are a nice touch to traditional solitaire style.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. I'm going to go ahead and have him set my diamond tomorrow.

Charmypoo- I don't have other photos right now. The shank is quite rounded though and think it doesn't show it in the pictures because of the shine. I do plan on the diamond being set with the girdle just above the pave.

Enerchi- yep, I hope he can do claw prongs also!!! I gave the jeweler plenty of photos so I'm hoping for the best I plan on getting a thin rose gold spacer if needed...thanks for the suggestion.
