Setting Help for my pear! Looking to buy

Hi again!

My boyfriend bought a pear a little while back that we are now looking to set as my engagement ring! I am interested in setting it in a rose gold halo and love the look of this ring in particular:

I have seen it in person and loved it. What I love in particular is the sloping shoulders ont he cathedral and the extenuated basket. It made the ring feel much more substantial because of the sideview of the basket without taking away from the delicate halo and shank. Also, the stone is a very good i1 but we would like to cover the sides/bottom.

I asked for a quote for this ring for a pear in rose gold minus the second row of pave and it came out to $3400. We were hoping to spend less thann $3k.

Does anyone have any suggestions other than ERD? We are meeting with Chris tomorrow afternoon regarding the "Meghan' inspired ring but I'm not sure how I feel about the petals, especially on a pear shape:

I came across the following Adiamor ring and they can make it custom for only $150 more than the list price, however, the low price makes me balk as well as the absolute dearth of Adiamor rings on PS:

I am looking to you, Pricescope, gurus for any options or thoughts you can provide! I am becoming a little overwhelmed looking through a million images and appreciate any help I can get!

I know lauren b's settings are hand forged so that probably explains why it's a bit higher...did they not have any custom settings (cast) that could be tweaked a bit?

You could also look into jewels by grace to see if she can do a setting like this but my recommendation would be for ERD...they would come under your 3k for sure

Hi pandabee- thanks so much for your response! I never seem to get any love on the forum

Lauren b basically told me they just do not do cast/cad. Their handforged price was better than ERD by several hundred dollars but we are a little put off that they don't have a cad/cast bench at all.

I really want to know if anyone has seen any of these Adiamor settings in person bc it looks great online!

I didn't get a setting from them but I just checked my email again when I asked about them in general, they said their "ready made" settings which are featured on their website they purchase cast so perhaps that's why they can't really be modified.

Are you set on hand forged over cast?

Hi pandabee- we are so not set on handforged. I just want a good value for a good looking ring. We went to IDJ as well to see some stock settings and after seeing the quality at ERD and Lauren B, even my bf was not interested despite the pricetag difference!

So my boyfriend ordered my setting from Adiamor. He has not yet proposed, but I have seen the setting he bought and it looks very pretty and seemed very well made. Their price is very competitive and their staff is great to work with. I wanted additional diamonds on the band and wanted claw prongs, and they made the changes for a very minimal charge. We were very hesitant to buy from them since they don't seem to get much love on here, but I think their price is fair and the quality is great for what you pay for. We did not buy the center diamond from them and still got a call from their manufacturing dept to go over the changes and to make sure that we get what we want, which is nice since we did not expect to get personal attention because we were spending only about $1200.

Hi Prish- I am glad to hear good things about Adiamor. We are even considering ordering the basic version to see it and return before ordering the custom one. I am excited to see yours and hope he proposes soon!
