So...looked at the budget for setting my 5.5 mm transitional this weekend and the Tacori setting that he loved:IMG_1355.PNG
will not be in the cards, even at the bargain price I found. My husband is not fond of any of the vintage settings we found in my earlier thread. I am going to go with a simpler solitaire. Adam at Bill Leboeuf is quite close to me and will give me a great price on Stuller settings. I am looking at the very popular crown setting, seen in so many threads, but I am also thinking about something like this

Stuller has a similar setting to the rose gold David Klass one, but with pave. I just want the shank to be plain, and a decorative basket. I really like the floral look. Budget is $300 or less...the stuller 122004 will be $320 cdn, set and sized. As anyone seen a similar setting without the pave? Or something like the second? I like a higher setting, ne a narrow shank. It will be white gold. Thanks for all your patience and help!

You'll probably need a second hand setting with a budget of 300.

Hi, musko -- I wouldn't hesitate to ask Adam at Bill LeBoeuf to contact Stuller & inquire if they will make that DK-similar setting without the pave. Stuller did that for me some years ago, they simply made a plain shank.

The other Stuller setting -- 122004 -- is one of my Stuller favorites, and yes, the price you were quoted ($255 USD) is a good deal

Yes...or an inexpensive Stuller. My jeweller is offering excellent prices on stuller mounts. I've hunted through the online catalogue but I cannot find a similar floral head without pave. I was wondering if anyone else had seen one?

Yes and it is very pretty. Still in the running. :)

Just curious: have you looked at Loupe Troop or Diamond Bistro? Perhaps something may turn up there in great condition without the pave'? Otherwise, @MollyMalone may have the best suggestion. :mrgreen2:
