Hi all, I just placed the order for my b-day necklace - a single DBTY style from BGD. Fixed bezel, yellow gold, 18" chain. The stone I picked is a .252 I, VS1 and is gorgeous.

I'm just so torn, wondering if I'll wish I'd gotten the Tiffany version. I know their smaller carat weight stones appear large for their size (I was debating getting the .14 tcw size, which would end up being about 50% more than the larger BGD version I ordered). I think the BGD stone will be gorgeous but I just worry I won't like the bezel as much as I do the Tiffany version. But I hate the thought of paying just for the Tiffany name.

Did I make the right decision? I just ordered it so could probably still change my mind... talk me through this!

I recently tried on a 0.23ct Tiffany DBTY and the diamond REALLY poked me! Does the BGD version have a basket?

No, it's an exposed culet. But I have a DBTY multi stone necklace and I don't find them to poke and bother me too much.

That’s one item I’d far rather have from BG or any superideal vendor here if it means going down in size for Tiffany. I have a WF 36” dbty necklace and a bracelet, and in no way do I think that design is unique enough to justify overpaying for brand. They do have lines that are unique to their brand, and those I might buy. But in this case, I’d for sure choose the .25 BG over a .14 Tiffany that costs 50% more! I wouldn’t go under .25. I think BG does a nice job on bezels.

Thank you!
