Save me from Kay?

I’m a diamond newbie. Currently shopping with my boyfriend for a ring for me (I’m very particular) and we went into Kay just for some ideas but I fell in love with a ring. I didnt even think I’d like it until I saw it. We live in a very small town so our options for locally owned stores is very slim.
So help me find a comparable ring at a non-mall store please.
Price range: I’d like to stay under 6000, for ring and band.
What I like about this ring: I love the profile detail, I thought it was dumb when I saw it online but in real life I adore it.
I like twist bands, round stone, no halo.

If you like it buy it and maybe one day replace the centre stone which would likely not be great

I'm glad you asked here instead of buying at Kays. DEFINITELY don't do that. Most people here will agree that the center diamond is the most important part of an e-ring, and to spend most $ on that. However, since you have a very specific preference for setting, I want to show you some options to see what you think before suggesting center stones.

Both have matching wedding bands. The problem here is that it's going to be difficult (but not impossible!) to stay under 6K for everything, since the settings are between 1400 and 1950, and matching bands are another 1000+.

If you go with the most expensive of these 2, it only leaves you with 2.5K for the center stone. Are you ok with a smaller center stone?

The other option is to email David Klass and ask him to re-create the Kay setting. He does very reasonably priced custom work, and will make a million times better version of the Kays ring for a good price.

What was the carat weight of the center stone at Kay (same size as in pictures?) did you get specs on the diamond? and what was their pricing like?
