Well after about 4.5 months my ring is finally finished!! :appl:
I am waiting until thanksgiving to propose to her in front of her family. She does know about ring, but is not aware its finished yet!! I dont have in person but since I have had help from all the wonderful members here I wanted to share.
Stone is a color change saphire and thats why it looks brownish in ring it's just the angle. I included some pics of stone before setting also just to see different colors it changes to in different lighting. when looking straight on its very pinkish purple.

Gorgeous! What is the info on the rest of the ring? Did you design it together?

yes, and thank you. I drew some pics sent them to him he created the cads I made several changes over the process until we came to this.
Here are some links from here, there were tons of email back and fourth over the process until he came to what I wanted but was unable to draw.
Red garnet is her sons birth stone, and other side is a diamond for our upcoming child in April!!

That is a really beautiful ring, and I love that you included the children's birthstones in it. :appl:

Would love to see some more pictures of the stone, it looks interesting and unusual!

Here are vendor photos from gemrite (I believe his name is jon). Its always light pink/purple when inside when inside. When in natural light color could be green, blue, grey, or yellowish depending on light conditions. Not sure why his pics show so much dark areas because in person you don't see that at all.

It's beautiful & so very sentimental - good luck with the proposal, and early congratulations!

Congratulations on a job well done! We'd love to see hand shots after the proposal (and, for that matter, to hear the story too). :praise:

What a cool sapphire! I love a moody, unusual stone. The setting is truly beautiful, too!
