a pucture i saw earlier made it look like a brooch now im not so sure although the way the fabric is draping it looks heavy which would hopefully mean brooch and not embellishment

i like that sparkly embellishment
a pucture i saw earlier made it look like a brooch now im not so sure although the way the fabric is draping it looks heavy which would hopefully mean brooch and not embellishment
what do others think ?

Maybe some sort of costume fashion jewelry embroidery? I think Queen Max. likes to mix and match.

she was chatting to an old chap - a vetern who had just turned 100 and he was telling her he had got her 100th birthday card and she said good - she worries about them (not) arriving
and a little girl as she arrived yelled out "your the best queen in the world " and she smiled

Okay, for those who don’t know the story, I have a collection of rhinestone tiaras that my husband has purchased for me over the years (it’s somewhere back around page 190 or so). These mark notable events, like moving 5 times in ten years, both kids having the flu at the same time, teaching awards, etc.

I found out yesterday I won another award, so we decided to treat ourselves to a day at the antique shops and dinner. I found this necklace at one of the aforementioned antique stores. I KNEW I had to give it a good home and add it to my “Royal Jewels” collection!!! It struck me as a cross between the Connaught Tiara from Sweden and the necklace from the Danish Ruby Parure.

I am making it my new avatar!!!
