Josefine, good pics -- the Teck necklace was stunning on Princess Margaret! I wonder if the Durbar tiara is perhaps too big for today's royals -- Queen Mary wore it gracefully but she had such an imperial style & being swathed in jewels was the way to do it then. Irrespective of personalities, it does not look well on Camilla. Overpowers her -- honestly, she looks to me like a kid playing dress-up in it. I wish she'd ask the queen for something smaller.

Dianab -- Grace certainly did have a lot of tiaras. Beautiful rubies. In the photo where she's wearing pink, the tiara is unfamiliar, looks great on her. Also her brooch which looks like a sapphire, hard to tell from the angle.

I absolutely LOVE the shot of Stephanie sucking her thumb!

Really am enjoying the posts where the same piece is worn by several different ladies and you can see how the piece was changed over time and how each person wears it to fit their personality. Also is the Teck necklace still in the British Royal Family (I assume it is the property of the Queen?!?)

What is extension PNG? I attached a regular old jpeg file, which I've done always before.

Anyone else having trouble?

WOW...I haven't been here for a few days and came back today to find all of these GORGEOUS photos....thank you so much for sharing them!!!!

I, too, enjoy seeing the same piece on different people in time. If only these tiaras and jewels could talk.....

It is a joy to see Princess Margaret....do you have more photos of her? She was so lovely and I believe she had a lovely jewelry collection, too.

OK, figured out what I did wrong. Anyway, this necklace, a collier resille (sorry for lack of accent), is one of my favorites of the British jewelry. As far as I know, it hasn't been worn since Queen Mary. Bobby, as the top-drawer expert on British royal jewels, any info? Hope it hasn't been broken up for re-use of stones. Can't help thinking how beautiful it would have looked on Diana.

I believe that tiara is borrowed from her sister-in-law, Princess Haya. Princess Haya inherited it from her mother, Queen Alia.

Alexander, you're right, that is the waterfall brooch the Queen Mum is wearing. Sorry about that.

I think Grace looks better in the tutti frutti necklace even than Caroline -- and looking better than Caroline isn't easy! Amazing how many photos were taken of Grace & she looks marvelous in them all. Can't help imagining how it would feel to look over trays of jewels, per these lucky royals, to decide what to wear tonight!

Found this bracelet watch on Sotheby's site from a 1970 auction. It's composed of 126 round diamonds, total 8 ct.
