My first post was with a $5000 budget. got lots of help (thanks to all the helped!!) but after doing the math and time and hassle, i dont think i will go with the route of purchasing a rock in the states and getting it across the border here to canada. With that being said.
ive stretched it a bit and will have a $7000 cnd budget before tax just for the diamond.

Looking for a Round diamond, im willing to go down to a J if it has a faint/med flourenscense to counter the yellow.
1.18-1.4 carat range if possible. excellent-ideal cut. eye clean so i can go lower to a si1 or si2.

my gfs preference first is the shinyness of the ring (best cut), then size, then colour

I found some that i like but not too knowledgable on the numbers/scale and would like to ask for help.
these are canadian sites so shipping will be hassle free lol:

Hi Supra,

We will gladly look through your selections and help, but we need some more info please. Would you mind posting the links to the GIA reports for your first three diamonds please so we can access all the proportions of each? If so, that would be a great help and we can go from there. :wavey:

thanks everyone for their help! Im really liking these 2, but a toss up if i go for Quality or Size. 1.25 just sounds better in the tongue HAHA
Would the 1.17 be noticably shinier?? if you look at the table for the 1.25 there is a lot of noticable inclusions and wondering if this will be eye clean or not. which would everyone choose? 1.17 or 1.25?

my brother sent me this diamond its a 1.25, H colour and its a canadian diamond

there seems to be a bit on iclusions also in the middle of the table,no clue if its eye clean, plus its about $1000 over my budget would this be a contendor?

FWIW, the gemologist at James Allen preferred the 1.25 ct to the 1.17 ct, despite the fact that the 1.17 ct is labelled as "True Hearts." The gemologist uses eyes when determining preference, so it's a more valid (though still subjective) real life preference.

Regarding that other diamond your bro found, it's right on the edge of being a great diamond--meaning if something is off even the slightest, it might be not so good, but if everything is just right, it would be a stunner.

check out this thread about a diamond with very similar proportions (though the table is smaller on yours, same principal): https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/should-i-spend-close-to-12k-on-this-diamond.201507/page-2

The other concern is that crystal. I doubt it's an eye clean diamond, and not one I'd consider if it'd be putting you over budget. Only go over budget if you find something that blows the competition out of the water. That one does not.

Have you decided you are ok with buying from the States now? If so, then that gives a lot more options but it comes down to what's best for you. The diamond above is certainly a reasonably well cut diamond but it is a little deep, the main concern is that there is a grade making cloud inclusion noted, you would need to check carefully that the cloud isn't having a negative effect on brilliance or transparency and also make sure it is eye clean. If the vendor can verify there aren't any transparency issues and that the diamond is eye clean to your requirements, it might be worth further investigation but without images and trusted expert advice from someone that has seen the diamond, it's buying blind.
