The head seems thin, a tad cheap, very wirey

And I'm not crazy about the way the cathedral doesn't meet the head. Of the two those I prefer that one.

But I think we might be able to do better.

I like lower settings too, and I like thin prongs but not a thin head. You can ask them to claw the prongs, I would imagine they could do that, at the very least, thin them out.

They're another tool you can use to evaluate. It won't hurt if they'll get you some.

I think this one is nice, first the price (I'd still ask them the best price they can do on it) , but also, I like that its not a cathedral, itthin, but seems to give just enough metal for the head to really seem well attached, rather than plunked on the top, like the last one.

For the iphone, I find bathroom lighting to be optimal for photographing diamonds I also use a cheap clip on macro lens that I purchased from amazon.

Here you go DaniJ! this is a size 5. The stone and setting are gorgeous (ring is 18k white gold), but I downsized from a 1.5+ ct to a 1.1+ (for my lifestyle purposes - 3 little kids, active) and it's a REALLY big change so I'm still trying to get adjusted to it. ID Jewelry is the best, and Yekutiel is fantastic to work with. I did email him this morning re: maybe a 1.3 instead? But I'm going to keep the ring for a week or two to see if I adjust to it. I purchased a pair of uncert bezel earrings from them a few years ago and when I received them, I kinda wished that I had gotten something just a tad bigger (I think they're .6 each), and I regret not making the change then. If you can't tell, I'm incredibly indecisive.
