I''ve been thinking alot about rose cuts lately, too. I''m a step cut lover and these kind of scratch the same itch-kwim? I love the fact that you seem to be able to get alot of spread, too.

I do know what your mean. Maybe it''s a "glassiness"... a see-through quality.

These two rings are from Single Stone. Both are described as having an "Asscher rose cut" center stone. I can''t eek any more detail out of the pics, but you can see them slightly larger on the Single Stone site...

I KNOW. I am currently obsessed with the 3ct one. Singlestone has my 2ct emerald cut right now (i changed to SS from anothe designer a while back) to do a re-set (never been totally happy with the stone sad to say). After they got it, I got the bug to investigate trading it instead for a really cool rose cut. My stone is being GIA graded to establish it's value so I'll know how much I will have towards a trade. Singlestone has been very patient. I may end up keeping my stone and just get one of their fantastic settings (already picked a nice one), but I am fascinated with rose cuts and can hardly find any--I guess they are all in antique stores or sitting in jewelry boxes. Jeez, I need another hobby.

I am SURE that the 3ct is out of my price range, so I have not even inquired......
