Ring setting width

I'm thinking of getting a twist band engagement ring and am wondering how durable they are? I've read about recommended minimum widths for bands but not specifically for a twist band. Examples below:

I like how the second example looks more delicate but would the first example be more durable?

Either of those should be fine. We worry about rings in the sub
2mm range with pave.

To answer your question, yes, the first one probably is stronger
But I would get the one you like best.

That being said, almost any typical ering width (2-3mm) can be destroyed or mishaped with the wrong kind of pressure. We always recommend you take off your rings when doing heavy lifting. Accidents do happen so insure your rings or keep backup funds for
Just in case.

Thank you, just wondering does the 2mm width refer to the solid area of band e.g. area under the finger? So the individual twists could be thinner?
