Ring is finished. My fiance wants to pick it up, but I want to try it on first???

Hi There!

I'm back from vacation and DK has let me know the ring is done and it's time to pick it up!!! My fiance wants to pay for it/pick it up as he still wants to "surprise" me at some point with a re-do proposal. I still want to try it on before we finalize it (I'm not 100% sure the ring size is right - so I want to make sure it fits perfectly before paying for it). :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should time this? Should I go try it on without my fiance knowing and then tell him to pick it up after?

Any suggestions are appreciated!
 
I would talk it over with him. However, resizing can be done fairly quickly so I wouldn't let that be the determining factor.
 
I’d suggest going with your fiancé to pick it up, turn your head while he tries it on your finger, and then let him put it in the box until he’s ready to surprise you. That way you both win (assuming it’s not that you actually want to see it instead of just wanting to make sure it fits ;)2)

Yes, you can go along when picked up and shut your eyes and turn your head while the size is checked.
Trust me, as keen as you are - I know you are absolutely dying inside - you must wait for the BIG reveal at a time and place to be decided.
 
I agree with the others, if the ring doesn't fit it's usually not a problem to have it re-sized fairly quickly. I do think it's ok to go along when he picks it up and turn your head while they check the size, that way it can be re-sized before you get it.

I would let your fiance have the moment he's been planning and surprise you with the ring, I'm sure he's put a lot of effort in to it, I wouldn't want to spoil it for him.
 
I too recommend going with him and trying it of if it is okay with him. Also NO PEEKING! I’d probably have to blindfold myself to avoid the temptation :lol:
 
Being local I think you just need to suck it up buttercup.

You have already got a big diamond and designed your own ring. Why not let him have this win?
 
Let him have his moment. If you gave the correct finger size to your other half or to DK, have faith that it will fit perfectly. If it doesn't, it can be adjusted.

We ended up going together and i tried it on and never took it off!!! I LOVE IT!!!! I swear this thing sparkles in the dark! (I’m typing now in the dark lol) I can’t stop looking at it and thinking I’m officially engaged now!!! My poor fiancé put up with so much during this whole thing... it really made me appreciate him more and know that he loves me enough to let me be crazy and just go along with it! (It is a little loose so I’ll probably need to resize but will worry about that down the line)

DK is the NICEST guy! Can’t say enough good things about him professionally and personally.
