Ring design ideas for emerald and diamond

Wow, Amazing stone.

This is the design I’m close to using. Oxidised white gold. Emerald shields and Carré cut in the middle. Pave set strip of diamonds down the ring and a couple in between the carré and shields.

I feel the band might be too wide (7.5mm). Can anyone think of any other way to make it look less clunky?

If you set the asscher bezeled but kite set, you'd be able to thin the band substantially while still keeping proportions of the asscher larger or as equal to that of your emeralds.

I think I do have to speak up and say that I don't think the emeralds are suitable sidestones for the asscher. IMO they're just a bit too large, I'd look into getting them recut or use them for a different project.

I respect your opinion

If you want a 7.5mm wide band but for it not to look to visually 'heavy', you could split it into 3 bands - one forming each 'edge' of the ring (in line with the edge of the asscher) and then the central band with the pavé diamonds, if that makes sense?

Perhaps something inspired by this sort of style?

Thanks for this. You read my mind. This was the other option I thought of. Three separate but joined rings.

It seems to me that the emeralds have the perfect angle for tucking into a crossed double band. Here’s a drawing to illustrate what i mean. Sorry the proportions are so wonky. Edit: that may be way too wide set east west. E1918D87-590E-47B3-BE18-933C34CF1485.jpeg
