A mini thread jack, but I think this will interest LtlFC. Richard Homer is at Wink''s this week for a round table. Wink posted an amazing video of a spess oval. It looked like a sunburst. I can''t post a link to the video for some reason, but there is also a shot of it in his gallery here.
 
I''m not usually a fan of orange, but Richard Homer''s mandarin garnets are just delicious.
This one literally makes me drool (and crave a clementine). If I had a few hundred to spare, I''d snap it up, lol.

I think I know which one you were talking about. I asked about it, it was a bit out of my price range :-(. He told me he was going to a gem show this week.

Sorry to get all your hopes up. They got the wrong city (????). They are sending to my place tomorrow. I am working till about 4. So hopefully (if I can get BF to hang out), I will have time to take pics b/f it gets dark. Grrrr...

I am not a happy person about this. But I should have known. I always have some sort of problem with UPS. I have bad UPS Karma.

I am thinking I am going to bribe the BF with mexican food. He will do anything for mexican food.

I actually had a really hard time getting my package from USPS as well. Apparently if you miss the first attempted delivery, they just stop trying? Anyways, my fiance went to get the package for me, but the address on the back of the notice they left was wrong, so he had to hunt down the office. And then after a long wait in line, they almost didn''t let him pick up the package because the delivery guy hadn''t written any info on the delivery slip (like my name or address...) Bah. Thankfully my fiance is a charmer and got the package (with my pads!) for me :)

Hopefully your sweety will be home to sign for it! Looking forward to pics. :)

Tell me what you think. I can''t totally get the color on camera, there is more orange and less yellow. This stone looks darker in artificial light for sure. The concave facets are cool.
